Everything you do has an effect, it may be big or it may be small. You always need to watch what you say, and who you say it to. For all you know, it could cost someone there life.
Riley was 14 years old and was just starting 9th grade. She lived a normal life, both parents lived with her, and she had 1 brother. She lived almost right in the center of her small town in Iowa.

'Oh god! 9th graders can be so mean! why can't I just skip school?' she thought to herself as she headed to her class through the crowded halls. She had only been in school for one week, and it already sucked! She had finally reached her class and was about to turn the doorknob when she heard a voice,
"Riley where do you think your going?" the voice was deep and scary
'Oh No, it's Mr.Jensen, the principle.' she thought, "I was going to class, what did it look like?" Riley said
"I need you in my office. Now!" he said angrily.
'oh no, what did I do now?' Riley slowly walked to his office. once she got there she sat in his hard chair, squirming uncomfortably.
"Did you really really punch Dylan?" came the deep voice of Mr.Jensen
"So what if I did? That son of a bitch had coming for him!" replied Riley
" Now listen here...." is all that he said because the fire alarm went off.
Outside, Riley met up with her best, and only friend, Carly.
"Riley," said Carly, "I'm leaving to Hawaii, my dad got a promotion."
"Oh." said Riley sadly
Carly left at lunch and this is how she remembered it,
A voice from the office came on. "Can you send Carly down, she is leaving 'Forever'" the words 'Forever', stuck in her brain.
At lunch everything went down hill,
"Hey little ass, your family's so mean! your cunt of a dad bumped into my dads 2014 sports car! Your family doesn't deserve to be here!" ah! that's the Dylan she knew.
"Shut up you little son of a bitch!" shouted Riley, but she knew she shouldn't have
Riley walked home so it took a while. when she finally got home, she noticed there wasn't anything but burnt rubble! she dug around to see if she could find any trace of her family. While digging, she saw a jar with $5,000 in it, a toy shovel, a box of stale cookies, a pillow, a drawer filled with some of her clothes, a jug of water, fabric, needle, thread, a mirror, and a liter. She noticed that these things had been conveniently laid out next to a note. The note read,
Dear Riley,
We couldn't stay for you we had to flee but we left you this stuff in order to keep you alive until you find us. Do not go back to school! Please..... but the rest of the note was cut off.
