"Four weeks in... everything seems alright. How're you feeling?" The doctor pressed down on the wand so it was applying even more pressure onto Niall's lower stomach, he winced, still getting used to the cold gel that was spread amongst his skin. "Just fine."

His eyes lit up, seeing a small speck appear and disappear on the screen.  My baby, he thought, looking up at his boyfriend who was staring at the screen in awe.

Zayn smiled a small smile and lightly swiped his index finger across Niall's small baby bump - collecting some gel which he soon spread all over Niall's nose, making the younger groan. "No nausea?"

Niall shrugged, trying his best to ignore the distractions while trying to lift his shirt enough to wipe off the stuff on the bridge of his nose. The doctor didn't seem to notice, she was too busy doing her job and making sure everything was alright with the baby so far.

A printer on a desk in the left hand corner started to feed out a piece of paper, it was black and grey and the couple knew exactly what it was.

"Holy shit, man. It looks like a sea monkey." Louis had said, tilting the paper in all kinds of directions to get a better look. Zayn scoffed and laughed gently, glancing over at Niall who had a pained expression on his face - forcing a smile.

He took a deep breath, his hand rested on his fairly unnoticable baby bump. "I just can't wait to like.. feel him. Y'know.. kicking." Zayn reached around and placed a hand over Niall's. "Right yeah. Should be an interesting year, huh." The feathery haired boy smiled kindly, handing the paper back in their direction. "I have to say, I'm excited already to meet the little guy or gal."

"I'll be even more excited if you name them after me, though.."

Niall rolled his eyes playfully. "Sure, Lou."

Louis chuckled and looked between them, stretching his arms out infront of him. "Have you thought of any names yet?"

The couple exchanged looks, then Zayn shook his head. "Not really.. we haven't talked about it."

"Yet." Niall corrected, clearing his throat. The three of them went on for atleast another twenty minutes talking about the pregnancy alone until Louis announced he should go home and let them rest.

That night, Niall and Zayn lay in bed - one on their phone and the other frantically flipping through the pages of a baby name book. Guess which one that was. "How are we supposed to find a name? We don't even know the gender." Zayn asked boredly, continuing to text. "We have eight months for this, it's not like there's much of a rush."

"A name is the most important part. Louis was right, we need to start thinking about them. I am not going to be one of the parents that names their kid a week after they're born."

The air surrounding them was thin, and Niall could almost feel Zayn's eyes boring into the side of his head. "Relax, babe. Like I said... there's no rush."

He was right. They both knew it. So the blonde closed the book and turned off the light, unable to fall asleep.
