On The Road Again

Caite's POV

Today I decided to go in to work and then talk to Jamie and I's boss about taking a break from work for a bit so I can get everything out of my system and to plan my parents funeral; I only hope she does.

Once I pulled up to work, I got out of my car and locked it up before heading inside to Hot Topic. I worked my shift at Spencer's yesterday and already explained everything to them and they were okay with it just as long as I called or emailed to let them know I was doing okay and that the boys were helping me with everything.

As soon as I got inside Jamie and Elisa, our boss, both tackled me into a hug. It kind of caught me off guard but, I returned their hugs; only for it to make me break down in sobs. They are both aware of what had happened with my parents.

Now, let me tell you about Elisa. She's about half Jamie and I's age; she's one of the best bosses I've had in a long time besides at Spencer's that is. Although, Elisa is amazing she can be a major bitch when she needs to be and she loves Jamie and I like we're her own which is one thing I love about her.

One time, when I was sick with the flu, she let Jamie come over on his breaks to check on me and help me out when I needed it.

Although, today was the day I was leaving to go on tour with the boys I didn't want to leave anyone without saying goodbye.

"Caite, sweetheart, if you don't want to work today you don't have too. This is your time to take so you can grieve and do everything you need to. Because, honestly if you'd not explained it all to me last night and you came in and just started crying I would've done asked what was wrong and sent you home. But, as of now you are officially on paid vacation until the tour is over." Elisa told me softly as she kept hugging me tightly.

"Thank you, Eli. You don't know how much this means to me. I love you so much." I said between sobs and sniffles.

"Just make sure you text, call and email us to let us know you're alright, okay Cat?" Jamie added in.

All I did was nod my head because I didn't want my voice to crack.

After we all hugged, I said my goodbyes to them and walked back out before Elisa could kick my butt and went back to my car, starting it up and driving back home.

Andy's POV

Caite had gotten up and got ready for work, so she let the boys and I just hang out here at her house and damn, was her house fucking huge.

She told us the story behind it and everything that she felt comfortable with sharing with us.

Soon enough I heard the roar of a car outside so, I decided to get up and go check it out. Once I opened the front door I seen Caite pulling up in her driveway and I walked outside to her car confused.

When she got out she jumped with a slight scream and looked up at me with a playful glare.

"Gods, Andy you scared the fuck outta me." She said while having her hand on her chest.

I couldn't help the chuckle that left my throat as I smiled down at her. "Sorry, but, I thought you were going to go to work today to occupy yourself?" I had asked her.
