Picking Strawberries

Stubborn (Elizebeth's P.O.V)

Rising early I go over to my best friend Haylee's to find she isn't done picking strawberries in one of her family fields so of course I helped out. I sat on my arse and my legs tucked next to me as I picked the freshest with Haylee on her knees.

In the dead of silence besides birds chirping and us picking off the small plants, the town's speakers rattle and scratch to life. "Ladies and gentlemen, the ladies called need to report to the town hall immediately." 'Damn it... not today...' was all I thought as the town's spokesperson listed off names (These names were from my year book, so sorry if it offends you to have your name in here.) "Lana Wymer, Phionna Nixon, Laniee Buller, Alivia Sopke, Reese Lott, Lydia Cope, Elizebeth Shan"

I felt Haylee's eyes fall on me as I sighed heavily, annoyed by them choosing me and separating- "and Haylee Plain." I looked at at Haylee as she sat there shocked now I'm really irritated. "All those ladies need to report to town hall immediately, thank you." I end up staying in the field with her and we refuse to move. Hell they'll have to come get us! Sitting there we continue to pick not caring.

About 30 minutes later we see two men walking in synchronization to the door of her house and knock before talking to her mother and father. Staying still and in the fields we don't even talk about what could possibly going on. I already knew. Not noticing they stopped talking till they were heading over to our spot. They looked similar to one another so I assumed twins but at a second glance they were still different. One had jade eyes that were hypnotizing, brown hair hiding them added to the mischief as well as he was tall, just as the other. But the other was blonde with gorgeous blue eyes and a lopsided grin.

After they finally are to us, the jade eyed one talks first "Are you two Elizebeth Shan and Haylee Plain?" I answered first "No." Then the other has the audacity to chuckle under his breathe at me!!! Jade eyes glares at him and that shuts him up fast. 'Serves you right' "Well do you know were we can find them at?" He tries keeping patient. I snicker when I hear Haylee mutter 'You wish' I know they heard her but that was funny!

Both of them in unison looked at us then each other with plastered grins. Blondie goes to Haylee and I have Jade eyes up in my face and take our baskets before setting them down and hoisting us over their shoulders and I hear Blondie with "C'mon smartass!" Oh hell no!! Bitch put me down!!!! I start hitting the back of Jade eyes until he tells me to shut up. Of course Haylee has already given up and just shrugged. I begin doing the most annoying thing possible and poke his cheek while repeating "Put me down.... how bout now? Put me down... put me down... how bout now? Now? Now?"

They seriously walked with us on their shoulders all the way up to town where the two guys were greeted with roaring laughter from 3 other gentlemen. Blondie responses, of course I have Captain Serious. I turned out the conversation quickly when I felt my dress hiking up and getting real close to revealing my private spot. At least I tuned back in at "Yes, I certainly do." There was a guy with a man bun, one of the three, shaking his head with the other two following close behind as they headed up to the castle. Because of how far it is they took a carriage.

The feeling of forever washed over me as we finally entered the castle and it was late at night and all the other girls were asleep now or eating dinner in the dining hall. We came to the end of a split hallway and the two guys separated with a silent nod as we went one way and Haylee went the other way. All I could do was watch her go until Jade eyes opened the door with me still on his shoulders and closed it quietly with his foot before walking over to the bed and plopping myself onto the bed. He smirked and climbed in between my legs and switched to a dangerous glare.

I squeezed my eyes shut and put my hands up as he pressed against them and lowered himself more. "Get off me!!!" I squealed before he whispered darkly to shut up and listen. So I did and looked into his piercing jade eyes as he explained the rules and blushes a little when he said the sixth one, it was not necessary but preferred. I giggled but quickly shut back up as he glared again. "You'll be staying here tonight and sleeping in my chambers. Your room is next to mine to go through that door and change then come back, make it fast." He pointed to a deep engraved oak door with a gem above the door frame, in the center.
