Elisha walked through the front door at school, she looked around and saw the popular people laughing at something one of them said. Elisha wished she was one of them, but she knew she would never be. She started to walk through the corridor to find her locker, on the way she was bumped into three times, they didn't even say sorry to her; she held her tears in, she didn't want to show weakness. She looked down at what she was wearing, jeans, a knitted wooly jumper, thick brown glasses, and knock off vans shoes. Her parents didn't have much money, so she got her clothes from thrift shops. She pulled her books out of her locker and started to walk to her homeroom when she was bumped again, but all her books scattered across the floor. Everyone kept standing on her books so it was very difficult to collect all of them. After she was finally able to collect all her books, she was late for homeroom.

"Sorry Mr Dudlock." Said Elisha.

"You need to get to homeroom on time tomorrow, or you'll get a detention!" Said Mr Dudlock.

Elisha walked to her desk and kept quiet. She started thinking to herself, and she remembered she had some money saved up. She whispered " I'm not going to get knocked around tomorrow. I'm going to be noticed." She let out a smile, but quickly put it away.

Throughout the day, she really wanted to talk to Jason, the most gorgeous boy in the whole school, but he was popular so she knew he would never notice her. But somehow she found the courage to talk to him, he was by himself at his locker, and there was no one around, she this was her chance.

"Hi Jason."

"Uh, hi. Haven't you got a class to go to?"

"Um, yes, I'm just getting my books."

"Well get your books then and leave me alone."

Elisha's confidence just died, and she walked to her locker, fetched her books and ran to her next class. She had never talked to him before, she didn't care that she was mean to her, he talked back, a smile grew on her face.

"What are you smiling at?"

"Nothing Georgia."

"Did I just see you talking to Jason?"

"Yes. But I was just saying hi."

Georgia pushed Elisha against the lockers, hard.

"Don't you dare talk to him ever again!! Don't even look at him!!"

"Yes Georgia."

Georgia walked right up to Jason and kissed him in front of Elisha, and she looked and her while she was doing it. Elisha just walked away, with her head down. She was hoping her plan would work.

The next day, Elisha walked into school, nervous. She was shaking. Everyone turned and looked at her, even Jason. But Georgia just looked at her, her mouth wide open. Elisha walked through the corridor on the way to her locker.

"Hey, what's your name?"

"I've never seen you before, can I have your number?"

"Here's my number, call me."

"Where did you come from? I think you came from heaven."

Lots of people were talking to her, her plan had worked. A big smile appeared on her face. Then she said one line out loud, everyone was so shocked.

"You don't have a phone?"

"No, I don't."

"You're in year 11 and you don't have a phone?"

"No I don't. "

"You can have mine if you want"

"No, you can have mine."

Everyone offered their phones to her, she didn't know if she wanted to take one or not.

"You can have my spare one if you want. I don't use it anyway."

She looked up to see who had said this. Her stomach flipped. It was Jason.

"Thanks Jason."

"How did you know my name?"

"You are the most popular guy in school, everyone knows your name."

"But I haven't seen you before."

"Yes you have, I talked to you yesterday, you were just mean to me."

"That was you?"

"Yes."

"I'm so sorry, I didn't recognize you."

"No one did."

Jason grabbed Elisha's hand and squeezed it gently and smiled.

"Come over here with me."

He pulled her over to their group. He put his arm around her.
"Georgia, we are done. You were so mean to me, and to everyone."

Georgia crossed her arms, and walked away. Not looking happy at all.

"Um, what's your name?"

"Elisha."

"Elisha, will you go out with me?"

Elisha blushed, smiled from ear to ear and said yes. He picked her up and spun her around, looking really happy.

When Elisha dressed in her usual clothes, no one realized her, just because she was wearing ugly clothes and thick glasses. But when she wore good clothes that matched, everyone noticed her. Everyone judged her on what she looked like and not her personality; prejudice.
