I groaned and sulked.
I checked my watch---its already 8:44 a.m.
The program already started.
I dialed my mom and dad's mobile and luckily,thay are not picking up the phone.
I quickly scanned my contacts and decided to call my bestfriend Chloe (aside from my beagle,Katy).
"Suuuup girl" she greeted me in her American accent.
She just migrated from California four years ago.
"Chloe,I need your help."
"Sure anything."She replied.
"Is Stacey around? I was wondering if she could give me a ride downtown."I explained.
"She's not here! Gosh,she went out a while ago with my cousin and went shopping."She replied.
"(sigh) Thanks anyway."I hung up.
I finally decided how to get there.I,Lucy Williams,will ride a public transit for the first time.
Okay but seriously,how are you gonna get one? my mind asked.
Umm,hail a cab? I thought silently.
Where are you gonna hail a cab? Security here is tight! my brain explained.
Umm,I'm going to wait for the bus. I proudly replied.
Psh,puhlease sista,the bus tours around the subdivision around 3 in the afternoon.my brain replied smugly.
Alright so what do I do?! I thought impatiently.
Hitch a ride was all I can think about.Okay,But how?!
I can hear my phone ringing and saw that it was my sister calling.
"Now she realized that her pretty sister is left coughing around the corner." I told her.
"Where are you?" she asked.
"Near the bus stop where you left me,why?" I replied.
"Call any of your friends and tell them to hitch you a ride downtown." she hissed.
"That's what I did and sadly,all of their cars are used." I rolled my eyes.
"Fine! call this number.09456723450017 (A/N: NOT A TRUE NUMBER)"
"Why can't you just pick me up?!" I screamed.
"Cause you're a freak."she hung up.Oh well,typical Amelia.
I called the number she gave me.After a few dials,I heard a deep oice in the end.Obviously a man.
"Hello? Who is this?"
"Uhm..I'm Lucy Williams,Amelia's sister."
"Oh! so this is the sibling she keeps on talking about! Hello,my name is Paul Higgins at your service."
Hmm..Paul Higgins? I think I heard that name before...
"Err,I was wondering if you could hitch me a ride downtown? Considering the fact that you know my sister.I really have to go to my brother's graduation,see." I explained.
"Alright.Since I already know your address,I'l pick you up at your house.Would that be fine?" He asked.
"Yeah.sure.Thanks Paul!"
"Your Welcome."He hung up.
Well,that escalated quickly.I thought as I trudged back home.
