Slowly opening my eyes, I smelled pancakes in the making. Looking out my window, I saw a small yellow bird perched on the branch of the great oak in my yard. My mirriors seemed to reflect the sunny day. My cold feet touched my fuzzy aqua carpet as I climbed out of bed. The bickering of my little sister Leia, was right out my door. " Katie are you awake", said Leia in her five year old voice. "No", I replied. "Ok" said Leia. She was easily fooled.
I am Katie Lansing. Today was the first day of summer. For a moment or two, I just imagined all the fun I am going to have this summer. "Lalalalalalalala", Leia's annoying voice interrupted my thought. I decided go down stairs for breakfast."Leia, I'm awake now", I said softly. "Oh goody, Katie is awake!" Shouted Leia as I opened my door. I hopped on each step as I went down the stairs. "Happy summer baby", my dad said in his I am tired I just woke up voice. "Thanks dad ", I said. My mom just finished making the pancakes. "Got any plans today", my mom asked. "Ya I'm going to go shopping with Cindy", I replied. "K, have fun", both my parents said. They kissed me one by one and then I run up to my room. I open my closet at pulled out my new Brandy Melville shirt along with my black ripped jean shorts. I got all ready from my day and texted Cindy to see where I should meet her. Cindy has been my bestfriend since second grade. "Beeeeppp", she answered me and said her house. I grabbed 20$ from my parents room and 5$ from Leia's room which she had gotten from the tooth fairy and was down stairs tying my converse. "Bye", I yelled and slammed the front door. I hopped on my purple bike and rode to Cindy's.
"Hey",Cindy said opening the door. "Hai", I said back to her. She ushered me into her house. Not realizing my helmet was still on. Cindy was home alone so she did not have ask to go anywhere, which was good because her parents would have said no. "Shall we", Cindy in an adultish way. "We shall" , I said kinda awkwardly. Cindy locked the door then got her bike out of the side of her house. We snapped the buckles of our helmets together and started peddling like a sale at Abercrombie was ending.
We had now entered the zone of hot teenage boys. We were in Manhattan beach and in was 11:30. We locked our bikes and hit the shops! " Ohhhhh, look at this, ohhhhh no no no no! LOOK AT THIS!" Cindy said holding up a strapless shirt with ruffles at the bottom." Cute" ,I said. "Let's get matching ones" I said." K",she replied. Once we were done paying we went to get pizza at the best pizza place in the world. And it was full of wet gorgeous boys in bathing suit.
I was holding the pizza and walking to a table. It was kinda awkward being the only girls in the place. As I was walking this guy in a hoodie and jeans bumped into me." Ummm.... Sorry" , said the boy in an Irish accent. I lifted up his hoodie and you would ever believe who it was. An if you are thinking Niall Horan you are right. "Niiiaaalll Hoorraannn? I said muttering strangely. "Ya, ya that's me just keep it down I don't want any fans to know I'm here. Still in shock I said ok." So where is the rest of the band, you know Liam, Zayn, Harry, and Louis. " I will tell you soon just do you have a place to stay"."Yes", I said completely forgetting Cindy who yes just standing there with the drinks watching us." Ok great, so can I stay with you?" ." Sure" , I said stunned that Niall Horan is staying with me. Niall and I ran out of the restaurant together leaving Cindy standing the motionless still in the state of shock.
