Chapter 1

The light shone down the end of the tunnel. Her footsteps echoed as she made her way towards the ladder. The final steps towards the outside world. She emerged from the tunnel. Ambeliqua Fox has always been a quiet, young girl. She was inclined to make the right decision but when she was faced with the choice to join the team of scientists that create genetically mutated beings, she didn't know what to do.

Ambeliqua was in her basement experimenting. She had been trying to create a time machine for months. So far she had had no luck. Every time she tried to travel, her machine exploded. She was hoping that today was the day she successfully travelled through time. The door creaked open and Ambeliqua stepped inside. She flicked a few switches and pulled a lever. It took a few seconds but it started to work. All of a sudden there was a crack. The lever flew off and hit her in the head. She screamed and fell to the hard wooden floor. Her entire life flashed before her eyes.
