Hello, and welcome to the first episode of Ultimate Fictional Warrior. This is another new series, so I should explain. In my other series, Who Would Really Win, I do research strictly for fights that One Minute Melee has done. However, I had my own ideas for fights that I wanted to research. So, I've started a new series that's much less limited. While in Who Would Really Win, where I have my fans request rematches with different circumstances to involve them at least a little; here, I'm going by Death Battle's rules for every match and I likely won't do rematches unless it's something very big. The rules of Death Battle are as follows:

1. Combatants possess knowledge of each other only if such is canon to each fighter's universe.

2. The battle must end with a death, for fairness. Personality restraints from killing are removed.

3. All other character traits, tactics, and attributes are not removed and are attempted to be represented faithfully.

4. Research used is determined equally unless specified. E.G. if non-canon sources are used for a combatant, the same is done for the other.

However, this means you can suggest match-ups! If you have your own idea for an episode of Ultimate Fictional Warrior, leave it in the comments and it may become an episode. But enough talk, lets get right to the combatants.

Samurais. They are the knights of Japan. A true samurai is much like a true hero with a moral code that involves compassion and helping the innocent. Also much like true heroes, they can come from anywhere and can even have a really common English name like Jack.

Jack Fletcher, the Young Samurai

and Samurai Jack, the Samurai sent to the future.

Both combatants will bring their best armor, weapons, and skills; but only one will be crowned Ultimate Fictional Warrior.

Jack Fletcher

Story: Jack Fletcher is the son of the navigator John Fletcher born at the end of the 14th Century. When he was 12, Jack went with his father on a journey to Nagasaki. But, the ship got caught in a storm and got shipwrecked. When it got to the coast, a band of ninja pirates attacked the crew and Jack was the only survivor. So in one day, Jack lost his father, got stranded miles away from home, and he even got a broken arm in the process. Definitely not his best day.

Jack was then found by the samurai warrior Masamoto Takeshi. He then adopted Jack and healed his broken arm and got him teachers to teach him Japanese. He then sent Jack to Niten-Ichi-Ryu, a samurai school where he would learn the ways of Bushido, the virtuous samurai code literally translating to "The Way of The Warrior." But, due to a rivalry with his adoptive brother, another student who sought to kill him, and attacks from the same ninjas that killed his father; life at the school wasn't all sunshine and rainbows for Jack. But during his time there, Jack made friends and conquered his fear of death. He even got his adoptive brother to warm up to him.

Jack went through three years in the school and was one of the better students there. But, then there was a civil war which the students at the school had to fight in and his adoptive brother sacrificed himself to kill the ninja that killed Jack's father. If that wasn't bad enough, the victor of the war declared all foreigners outlaws which forced Jack to journey to Nagasaki to catch a boat back to England with the samurai following the victor of the war trying to kill him along the way. God, this kid can never catch a break, can he?
