I've let you in a huge secret that's been buckling inside me for a while now.
Ever since that night at my house, you've been acting strange.
Whenever we hang out you don't look me directly in the eyes, I notice you playing with your hair a lot and the way you rub your shoulders has me going insane.
You rub your shoulders when you're nervous and I've only ever seen you do that around him.
Now it's me.
Maybe I'm just going crazy or something.
I've asked you multiple times if you'd like to go see a movie or something and you always say yes to that, but now you give me excuses on why you can't go.
Why are you being this way? What is happening to us?
"Did I do something wrong? I'm so confused." I run my fingers through my hair as my phone rests on the counter.
I put you on speaker.
"No, why can't you just accept the fact that I'm busy today! It's not always about you, believe it or not."
I widen my eyes.
"Whoa settle down there kitten. I understand that but it's just that.."
I pause, rethinking my words in my head and no longer liking them.
"It's just what?"
"Nothing, I'll see you around okay? Tell the beast I said hello."
With that I hang up.
