Chapter 1

It has been 1000 years since humans have evacuated Earth and moved to a new solar system and onto the new planet that we named Zaran.

In the year of 6089 the scientists on Earth were working on a serum that would stop the sun from turning into a black hole. They finished it, and it was so strong that only one bottle would do the job. The scientists thought that they had perfected the serum so they sent it into space and into the sun.

The serum failed and did the opposite of what it was made for. It made the sun grow rapidly, becoming a black hole faster. Even worse, the serum was so powerful that no matter what the scientists tried, they weren't able to stop it. The scientists estimated that Earth would only have 20 years left.

A year after since the incident a meteor hit Earth. The weather began to change drastically; places where it was warm or tropical started to snow. Cold places warmed up and ice melted. Animals and plants began to die. Insects infested everything.

A plague started, also caused by the meteor. At first it was recognized as a common cold, but eventually developed into  a rash, and then your body's systems start shutting down. The death is slow and painful.

Not only was a new disease born, the meteors radiation enhanced previously existing illnesses, making them lethal. No cures could be created in time to stop the powerful sickness.

The few people were able to escape the illnesses and quickly got into at least 3 space ships and escaped the planet with few supply's. Majority of the ship was comprised of scientists, farmers, mostly married couples with children. In all, about 1 000 000 people escaped.

Once they got to Zaran, the radiation on the planet affected their genetics, causing them to develop powers. The number of people with powers increased with each generation.

Going to the present day, most people have gained powers, and those who don't are given the rank of  Nons. People with power are ranked Mages.

And this is where my story begins.
