"seriously, just tell me who he is and where we are going!" i shout, jumping up and down in the air, anxious to find out where calum is taking me and my blind date.

"he's a good friend and i think we all will enjoy this." calum laughs at me as he finally pops a squat in my swirly chair, spinning around a few times.

there are so many place you could go just on the upper east side of manhattan, i'd hate to know how many places there are to go in manhattan which is where calum said we will be going and staying the night with a couple of friends. but i'm not one for stay with people i don't know, in fact, i rarely leave the house. my mother is always in need of some sort of help since my father and her divorced last year. i feel as though she uses their divorce as an excuse not to let me leave and be with her at all times, i get that she needs me but i literally never leave the house.

"what do i even wear? do i dress casual or like i'm going to a cocktail party?" i ask my best friend who sits there in my bedroom teasing me.

"c'mon lily," calum laughs at me. "you're going to a club."

"oh my, don't tell me it's a strip club." i complain as i sit on the edge of my bed, shaking my head.

he laughs at me. "i prefer the term burlesque."

"you're a pig." i shake my head at him some more.

"at least i can say that i have experienced sex." calum scoffs.

"i'm waiting." i shrug.

calum gives me this tilted head look, knowing good and well that i just can't find anyone to meet my standards. which may i add are very high. he has to come from a good home, he doesn't have to be rich but he has to be clean cut and mannerly. not rude and degrading towards women and if calum actually found someone who meets those simple qualities then maybe i would consider pursuing a relationship with someone for once, since i've never had a real boyfriend. not that i couldn't get one i just wasn't interested in any of the boys who chased me. plus, they have to be total eye candy, i can't see myself with someone who just has a nice personality. being a hunk is part of the qualifications.

"we are going to a party, lil. pick something out that makes that fat ass pop." i roll my eyes at calums towards my body.

ew, why a party? maybe he's talking about a club. i don't go to low grade parties.

calum strides over to my closet and picks out the most provocative outfit i own, which i have never worn, may i add.

"yeah, yeah, i'll dress like a cheap whore but keeping it a little classy." i roll my eyes. "i'll meet you at your house." i smile, crossing my fingers.

"okay, but you are getting laid tonight. promise me, even if it's not my date i'm setting you up with. you're seventeen and need to live a little. please?" calum begs.

"i promise."

i walk up the steps to calums apartment building and press the buzzer to get buzzed in.

"who is it?" the building owner asks.

"lily, i'm here to visit the hood residence." i state.

"ayyyyyyyee, lillian, come on in." martin, the building owner sang, buzzing me in.

i run up the flight of stairs, meeting calum at his door.

"what the hell are you wearing?" he laughs looking me up and down.

"so i tried on the dress but it was too revealing so i went after something or calm and i like this dress." i smile sweetly.

i look down at the dress. it is a mint green, long sleeved, and goes down to my knees. it is a very thick material and the collar is high and covers everything. this is my sunday dress, if i ever went to church. i added a few necklaces and put on black heels that aren't too high and a black head band. plus i have my silk night dress on underneath just for safety precautions.

"you look like my nana." calum whines. "but whatever."

we take a cab down to park avenue and turn off onto east 23rd st, which is out of the upper east side. we stop in front of some sketchy looking warehouse apartments.

"we are here!" calum shouts.

we walk up to the door and calum opens it without permission.

"is it even safe? it looks like no one is home." i state.

"so naive. the party is in the basement so the cops can't see if they drive past." calum states. "plus, its more of a small get together and you look like my grandma."

"oh, hush." i coo, following calum down to the basement.

he swings open the door and all i can hear is classy music and a bunch of under dressed and over dressed couples and friends dancing together.

"hey, cal!" a boy with bright hair in a snap back greets calum.

the boy has an eyebrow piercing and is clothed in practically all black.

"don't tell me this is my date." he retorts.

ha, like i would ever date this boy.

"lily, this is mikey. mikey, this is lily. enjoy." calum smiles and bolt in the other direction.

oh, boy.
