*I wanted to get her point of view from the meetings*

After meeting with Cadence and having our little 'date' that neither of us wanted, it was finally time. I couldn't believe it! I don;t know why I was so excited.

I swam into my room, looking for Marina. I told her I'd take her with me this time.

"Marina? Are you still coming with me?" I asked when she appeared.

"Oh, I'm sorry Mes, your mother wants me to go find other assignments for you. She knew I looked at the sheet, and she wanted me to ask the other fish who they think the other assignments should be. I'm really sorry," she said.

"It's okay. Next time," I said. She nodded. "I'll be back later then," I said, waving before going back out of my room. I looked around, making sure no one saw me, before swimming as fast as I could up to the shallow part of the reef.

Once I had past the seaweed, I knew I was okay and slowed down. No one ever went close to the seaweed, so if I was passed it, I was good.

I finally reached the shore, and I hid behind the rock, just like before. I was a little early, but I could feel his presence. He was close. He'd never find it by himself, so I thought of ways to help him. "Silver!" I whispered. "Silver!" I whispered again. I closed my eyes, focusing my energy on the picture of Silver in my mind, and reached out to him. It was telepathy, and it would guide him to me.

"Mes?" I heard him say out loud. It was louder to me because we were connected, but in actuality, he was a few yards away.

"Silver, follow my voice," I whispered.

"Okay," he said again. I smiled and began to sing. No words, just background notes. I sang loudly, hoping that it would reach him. Every note came out perfect, just as I was taught. You could call me a siren, only I don't persuade sailors to jump off boats and kill themselves. That's a whole other kind of mermaid. The not nice ones.

The bushed rustled and I ducked behind the rock, just in case it wasn't him. There was always a possibility, and I didn't trust anyone other than Silver.

"Mes? You here?" I heard his soft voice call out.

"Silver!" I exclaimed, coming out from behind the rock and swimming over to him.

"Hey," he said, sitting down on the shore line. I immediately notice a cut on the side of his face. I waded more towards the shore and reached out. He looked very confused as my hand wavered in front of his face. My finger grazed the cut and instantly burned. I pulled my hand back quickly. Human blood burns for some reason.

He reached up and saw that it was bleeding again, looking back at his blood stained hand. He didn't seem to notice my wince, which was good.

"What happened?" I asked gently, soothing my hand under the water so he wouldn't notice.

"It's nothing, really. Don't worry about it," he said, brushing it off. I wasn't going to let it go that easy. Not when he was hurt.

"What happened?" I asked again, more stern then the last.

"I cut myself," he said. He was lying.

"No, you didn't do this. I can tell. This was someone else. You can't lie to mermaids, Silver," I said to him. He sighed and looked down.

"Fine. It was a bottle.... That my father threw... at me," he said. I swallowed, trying not to react, seeing as I was very upset. Who does that to their own child? "Happy?"

"Not when you say it like that," I said to him. I reached for his face again, hesitating before I touched the blood. It burned, but not as bad. "Come closer to me," I said. He leaned in, his breath on my face. It took me everything not to blush because of the closeness. Keep it together, I told myself.

"What are you doing?" He asked, looking into my eyes. His brown hair fell in front of his face in wisps, him constantly moving it back.

"Shh," I said. He did as told. I closed my eyes, rubbing my thumb over the cut. I used some of my personal healing magic to heal it. I opened my eyes and they met with his. His beautiful, green orbs.

"All.... Healed," I said with a shaky breath. I pulled away, sinking back into the water. It stopped right under my eyes, to hide my blush that was as red as a tomato. He looked at me, then felt where the cut had been before. His eyes widened in disbelief.

"How did you...." He said in bewilderment.

"Magic," I said, coming out the water.

"Thank you," he said. I smiled. I wish he was one of my assignments. I sighed with a frown. "Whats wrong?" He said, noticing my face.

"Just a stupid thing my mother and the council members are making me do. Something every council persons daughter has to do," I said.

"What is it? It can't be that bad," he said with a faint smile.

"They're choosing 'assignments' for me," I said. "Basically, they're picking husbands for me to choose from," I said, looking down.

"It's that bad," he said. I couldn't help but hear disappointment in his voice. Did that mean.... Does.... Does Silver... Like me? We... We've only just met... I'm reading too far into it, right?

"It's stupid. I wish you were one of my assignments. They're all jerks," I said, leaning my head on my arm which laid on the ground. The grass was prickly on my elbow, and it felt nice.

"Oh my bubbles..." I looked to Silver as I realized what I'd just said. Silvers smiled as he buried his face into his chest, hiding a blush. I sank into the water, mentally slapping myself for saying that. But, for some reason, I didn't mind wishing.
