As Jack sat down on the beach he thought about his family. He wondered why they didn't support him dating a guy. They had always supported him no matter what. He just sat there, wishing he could change his parents choice but, alas, he couldn't. He thought to himself "They had always been there for me. Why does being gay make them turn on me?"
Then he heard footsteps. Running footsteps. "Who the hell could it be? Probably someone to hurt me more." Jack thought. Then what he heard changed everything.
"JACK! JACK! Where are you? Answer me please!" Mark screamed. Jack didn't respond. He just starting cry more. That's what got Marks attention.
"Jack!" Mark exclaimed. "What are you doing out here? What happened that made you run away? Jack please tell me. You know I'm here for you, right."
All he could do was cry more. With all the strength he could muster up, he said "They disowned me. They couldn't bear the thought to have a gay son. So I have no family now. No one." Jack whimpered.
"Jack, don't think like that. You have me and you'll always have me. No matter what." Mark replied.
Jack didn't answer. He just looked up and fazed into his caring boyfriend's eyes. Mark sat down next to his boyfriend and just held him. Cuddling him so he knew he was safe. They just sat there until the sun when down. As Mark tried to get up, he found Jack asleep on his arm. "They're always cute when they're asleep." So he picked Jack up, bridal style, and took him to the car. He drove home knowing that his man was safe. His man, yea, HIS man.
-The next day-
"Markiemoo! Come on. Wake up. Remember your promise? You have to keep it." Jack nearly screamed at Mark.
"Don't remind me. I haven't visited my parents in 3 years."
So Jack got Mark up, they got dressed, ate breakfast, and left for the city.
When they arrived at Marks parents house, they were greeted by Marks mom.
"Sweetie! Oh, it's so good to see you again! You don't really call anymore." And she gave her son another hug and showed them to the living room where they were greeted by Marks dad. Jack could see the terror in his boyfriends eyes.
"Hello Mr. Fischbach. I'm Sean. I like your house."
He used Sean. Mark had never heard Jack use his real name before. He started to get nervous.
"So, Sean." Marks mom started.
"Please Mrs. Fischbach. Call me Jack. It's what everyone else calls me."
"Ok, Jack. So how long have you known Mark?"
Before he could answer Marks dad stood up and said, "Mark, see me in the kitchen." And left.
Mark looked at Jack. Jack mouthed "go" and he stood up and left. In the kitchen his dad was there and asked, "Mark. I know that I'm older and used to a normal relationship, but help me understand this."
Marks face was priceless. He couldn't form any words.
"Come on, don't want your mom to get suspicious." And left.
When they returned they saw Jack and his mom happily talking and laughing.
"Did we miss something?" Mark asked.
"Oh, Jack was just telling me of how you two met." Marks mom said.
The rest of the evening consisted of them talking, eating, and talking more.
Around 6:30 pm, Marks mom said "Oh, it's been a lovely evening, but you two should probably get back home. It's getting late. It's been fun seeing you Jack. Be safe Mark." She said.
After Mark left, Jack turned around and faced Marks parents. "Mr and Mrs Fischbach, I wanted to ask you if I could marry your son. I know your not used to this but..."
"Oh, sweetie, you know I'll say yes but it's up to you." She said facing her husband.
His stalled for only a moment before saying "Yes."
Jack bursted from the seems with joy and hugged his soon to be father-in-law, if Mark said yes. "Thank you two do much. Now I have to go before Mark gets suspicious. Good bye!"
And he went to catch up to Mark.
"So, did you like my parents?" Mark asked.
"Well, they're definitely better than mine, obviously." He responded. He just hugged his boyfriend and walked to the car.
