I'd like to think of myself as a passive person. But with all these people right now bothering me, it's going to make me snap.
Relax Noelia. It's going to be okay. At least you're going to graduate without any problems. Keep to yourself. Well.. I couldn't with these two crazy girls, Liz and Anna. I can't help myself. Having been forced to isolate myself from people I love, it takes a toll on you.
"Earth to Noelia!" Anna screams near my ear as the bell rings to signal lunch. The horde of walkers- I mean students, rush towards the cafeteria as if running towards the food would make it go to their stomachs faster. It makes me stomach hurt just imagining it being replaced with actual decaying human flesh. I should've never watched The Walking Dead.
"You're definitely going to make me lose my hearing," I say, walking towards the same cafeteria the walkers are going to. I think I'll keep calling them walkers. Definitely suits them.
"You need to tell me more about Jay. He's like totally dreamy," she looks up, obviously imagining their future children.
She hands me a tray. "What's there to talk about with him? All he's done is say things that don't really matter." I look at the gloop of food choices and I cringe. Nope. Definitely just going to get some fruit.
"They're just so mysterious. No one really knows anything about them except they're amazingly attractive."
We pay for our food and walk towards the nearest table. Waiting for Liz. "You guys have being going to school with them and have no idea who they are?" I ask, pulling the plastic off the fruit cup.
"It's not like we can go up to them and ask about their whole life story." She rolls her eyes.
"What are you guys talking about?" Liz walks up to us and sits down. She pulls out a sandwich and some water. I should probably start bringing some food as well.
"Those mysterious guys that Anna is obsessed with." I say.
"Oh, everyone is obsessed with them. No one knows anything about them. It can be a little exhausting seeing all the girls throw themselves at them." She looks towards their direction.
"What are their names?" I look over to the guys' direction. One of them is wearing their hood over their head, hiding their face from everyone. The other two joke around with each other.
"Well, the one that talked to you is Jay Adams. I think he's the most talkative. He's the one who has the most girls thrown at him. Then the other one joking with him is Dominic Pelosi. He goes by D. I've heard he's a sweet guy." Anna starts. "Then, finally the mysterious one of them all is Alex Smith. He's obviously been created by the gods to be genetically perfect." Anna swiftly grabs a piece of Liz's sandwich.
"Hey!" Liz protests, grabbing her remaining sandwich and stuffing it in her backpack, making sure Anna can't reach it.
"You've seen the food Liz, we'll die of starvation."
"Is that all you guys really know about them?" I look over again, hoping to see what the third one looks like. They make eye contact with us at our table and I change my gaze to something else, hoping they didn't catch me staring. That might bring me trouble.
"I mean, Alex doesn't talk much. Few people know him. Girls love him too but he doesn't seem interested in anyone. He doesn't even need to flirt with girls, they just thrown themselves at him." I scoff at her answer.
"This sounds just like twilight." She laughs, almost choking on the sandwich.
"And you're the new girl! He's gonna be so obsessed with you soon. Watch." I roll my eyes at her response. Didn't Edward hate Bella? I don't even remember. I haven't seen movies in so long.
