Prologue
I've always wanted to have that one "dream family"; a loving mother and father, along with a few sibilings, and maybe even a big, loving dog to top it all off, but I guess that's not how life wanted it to be for me. I was born as an only child, but I never had a dad. He ran away when he found out my mom was pregnant, and we soon learned he had been killed by a car accedent when he tried driving home drunk one night. Although my mother was a single mom, she was the best anyone could ever ask for. I'm positive she wasn't even human, more like an angel who came down to Earth, but once I had reached the age of 3, she had to return to her home in the heavens as she died from leukemia. After she was gone, I was forced to live with my grandmother who had to give me up for adoption when her health began to decline. I don't blame her, of course, it is not her fault that she had health issues. After all, maybe adoption was one of the best things that has ever happened to me.
