Jungkook saw Taehyung sitting at another table, talking and laughing with another man.
His eyes started to become watery; he knew Taehyung had found someone else in his life, that was why the plug in their relationship was pulled. But he hadn't realised that Taehyung had already gotten together with this person, or that the feelings were even reciprocated by his ex's new love. It hurt so much just to think that Taehyung didn't even care about how shattered he had made Jungkook's heart, or how broken he felt inside.
Jungkook was about to go to the table at which Taehyung and the unfamiliar man sat, but Namjoon quickly stood up and began dragging his friend away. He knew why the younger had suddenly stopped in his tracks and why he was overcome with sadness and anger. He knew a little too much that he was disappointed in himself to be called Jungkook's friend.
"Woah woah woah, calm down there todler, let's get back to the bar and have a few more drinks," Namjoon said, hoping Jungkook wouldn't make a fuss.
"No hyung, why is he with another man?" Jungkook's tears streamed down from his eyes as he tried to get away from Namjoon's arms.
"You're drunk, OK? Let's just forget about them and have fun."
Successfully managing to sit Jungkook down, he gave the other two a glance before sitting down himself.
Jungkook took another shot of soju; he couldn't do anything about the situation because he was drunk. Thinking the alcohol would help make him feel numb, he then decided to drink the remaining soju in the bottle and just sat back in his stool while warm tears ran down his pink tinted cheeks.
The older guys don't know what to do or say to make the youngest friend feel better.
"Why is he with someone else? How has he moved on that quick? Did he really love me? Did he even care about me?"
Jungkook let his frustration devour him as he cried in front of his friends; about the break up and everything that he had been feeling. He didn't care if he looked weak and vulnerable, he just needed to let everything out.
As the crying began to die down, Jungkook tried to convince himself that he wasn't affected by what he saw, that he wasn't affected by their break up. But after he seeing Taehyung and the stranger move to the dance floor, all the heartaches and loneliness exploded in his chest all over again.
"What did I do wrong, hyung? Where did we go wrong? Was I just not good enough for him? Am I even good enough for anyone?" Jungkook sniffled.
The older guys just looked at each other and gulped. They needed to say it, they had to tell him. The very important something that they had kept from their friend.
"Uh, Jungkook, uhm oh my god, how do we say this," Jin said nervously as he started rubbing the back of his neck.
"Say what?" Jungkook said turning to face Jin.
"Jungkook, look, we're sorry," Jin said, avoiding eye contact, looking at the other two friends.
"H-huh?"
The three looked at each other worriedly before further explain to Jungkook. "Jungkook. We're sorry. We're so sor-"
"I know you're sorry just get to the point," Jungkook snapped as he started to become angry. Even though he was drunk he could assume that what they were about to confess had something to do with Taehyung, since they were bringing it up after his 20 minute cry in front of them. He was angry because not only did they sit there and do nothing while he sobbed his broken heart out but it seems as though they had been hiding something from him that had relation to Taehyung.
