"Mommy"

"Mommy get up"

  I heard my son calling me,but I was too tired to even open my eyes.I've been working extra hours at work because I needed extra money.I owned the bank loads of money from student loans,rent is overdue,I have to pay my college funds,pay the bills,and plus my birthday is tomorrow so I want to by myself something nice.I think I reaxhed my breaking point.Everything comes with a damn pricetag.Shit ain't free.

  As much as I doubt want too I have to get up because I have to take my son to school.I slowly got out of a bed,and he was already dressed in his uniform.My baby growing up so fast.I sat up in my bed in rubbed my eyes.

"Hurry up mommy we are going to be late"

"Ok go in the living room.I'll be ready in no time ok.

"Ok"I smiled as he walked away.

When he was out of my room I got out of the bed,and walked towards the bathroom.As I examined myself in the mirror I looked a hot ass mess.Work had really messed me up.I handled my hygiene,and when I walked back to the room and I changed out of my usual sleeping wear: t-shirt,and sweats.I changed into a white tee,and jean capris.I put on my silver sandals,and brushed all my hair into a ponytail.I was impressed being natural for 3 years have really made some progress.

  I lotioned my body,and grabbed my purse along with our car keys.I walked out closing the room door behind me.As I walked into the living room Joseph was sitting on the couch.

"Joseph did you eat"

"I made me some cereal"

"Okay"

  We walked out of our one bedroom apartment holding hands.I.turned to lock the door,and walk away quickly because I lives next to the landlord Ms.Shirley,and I owed her money.I quietly got on the elevator,and went downstairs.We made to my car with no distractions form Ms.Shirley.Thank God she didn't see me.Me,and Joseph got inside the car,and I drove out headed to his school.

  I just think he is a little to smart to be 6,but that's nothing to complain about.Eversince Joseph started school he loved going.I'm happy that he loves going so I don't have to worry about him dropping out like I did.I was 19 in college,and I had to drop out because I gotten pregnant.When he was old enough for me to enroll him in the daycare I quickly enrolled him,and enrolled myself in a community college.I go to school for business because I do want to own me a couple of businesses.It's been hell raising a baby,managing school,and a job but it's worth.

  I looked in my rearview mirror,and looked at Joseph.He looks just like his damn daddy.Has every feature of that man,but too bad he doesn't know him.I wish he was still around,but he out there making money playing for the Heat living his life.Jermaine Anderson.That one night in college was crazy,and I haven't seen him eversince.Now I have his son who he doesn't even know,and his son doesn't even know him.
