"We have to find her and bring her here!"
Landon's fists were balled up and his face was cringed with anger. All Riley could do was sigh.
"You sent out half of our people on a mission and they won't be back soon, and I have my own responsibilities to take care of, as do you. I know we need to retrieve her, but right now isn't the time."

Landon looked at Riley with disappointment and concern. "The war is beginning, if we found her, they can find her. We need to get to her as soon as possible."
Riley knew he was right. However, neither he or she could just abandon their duties. If so, then things could get even worse.
She sat and thought for awhile as Landon went to the drink bar and started to pour his whiskey.  She tapped the wooden desk slowly, and then more aggressively.
"The only thing I can think of is to send Eve."
Landon almost spat out his drink in disbelieve.

"Eve out of all people? We'll give her an order and then she will completely screw it up. She'll get distracted. Though she's very powerful, she's also ditzy. How could you trust her with a task this important?"
Riley got up from her chair and took a drink for herself.
"I know what I'm saying is stupid to you. But she deserves a chance and to be honest she's the only option. Why not sit her down and talk to her about this? I know she's dying for a chance to prove herself."

Landon looked down at his empty drink and poured himself another. He then sighed and ran his fingers through his dark unruly hair.
"I know you're right. Send her in, and we'll prepare for her mission."

Bluefield, Virginia
Rhiannon looked up from her book her class was discussing to look at the clock. She had 30 more minutes left. She tucked her thick light blonde hair behind her ear and began reading again. She was already chapters ahead of her class.  She enjoyed reading Shakespeare.

She found it odd that no one in her class could comprehend his work, unless her teacher read it with them and told them what was going on.
She was from a small town in South Western Virginia, and she was never surprised that she was the only one that could understand it.
Everyone was so close minded in her town.

She decided to close her book before she got too far ahead. She looked at the clock again and only ten minutes had passed. She put her head down and gently closed her eyes. She secretly hoped she'd dream again of the wonderful land that she dreamt of every night.
It had fields of flowers and deer, and rolling hills and waterfalls.

She was captivated of its beauty and it was the one true place she felt belonged.
The bell rang loudly and she shot her head up frightened by the sound. Her teacher, Mrs. Bolton was just finishing up telling the class of the data sheet that was due tomorrow.
Rhiannon quickly put her pencils back in her pencil pouch that was in her binder. She gathered the rest of her things and tried to discreetly walk out of the class room.

She was almost to the door until Mrs. Bolton called her name.
"Rhiannon, stay here."
Rhiannon rolled her eyes and took a seat closest to the door, knowing that if she was late to gym class she would get wrote up.
" I noticed you sleeping, that's unlike you. And to be honest if you didn't have a 100 percent average in this class, I would have wrote you up. Are you having any troubles you wish to talk about?"
Rhiannon felt a tang of anger. Her blood level rose and her pale cheeks turned bright red.
"No, Mrs. Bolton, I just had a nightmare last night and didn't get much sleep. I apologize for falling asleep it won't happen again."

Mrs. Bolton looked at her and raised her eye brow. Rhiannon knew that she didn't believe her lie. She took a deep breath and hoped she'd let her go. After a short pause Mrs. Bolton did a showing motion to the door as she went back to her desk.
Rhiannon quickly ran out the room, and to her locker to get her gym uniform.
She was relived to find a few girls that were just putting on their clothes. She quickly went into a bathroom stall and changed. Even though she had lost a lot of weight, she was still uncomfortable changing in front of people.
She took her Nike hot pink gym bag off her shoulders and took out her Cardinal red gym shirt that had a golden g star in the middle. She then out on her shorts that matched. After putting on her black nike shoes she reached for her brush and a hair bow.
She tied her long curly blonde hair in a messy pony tail and raced out.

She went to sit in her roll call spot that was assigned to everyone at the beginning of the year. Right across from her, she had one of her best friends since pre school Jolie, who was sitting with her legs crossed waiting for her to sit down.
"You were almost late and roadkill" she said with a smile.
Rhiannon blushed and played with her pony tail. "Mrs. Bolton held me back for a few minutes."
Amongst all the chatter with a gym packed full of girls no one heard or saw their gym teacher Mrs. Vlad come in.
Mrs. Vlad loved her job, and work outs. She treated every gym day as if her students were training for the Olympics.
She blew her whistle to get everyone's attention.
"Okay ladies, were taking class outside today. Warm up is to run 4 laps around the track and then we're going to play soccer."
After a few groans and protests all the girls got up and went to the double doors that lead out side to the football field and track.

Jolie pushed aside a few girls to get beside Rhiannon. "I am so glad I finished Mrs. Faye's project at like 4 this morning."
Rhiannon almost tripped when she heard her say that.
"Shit I knew I forgot something."
Jolie laughed "You always forget projects."
Rhiannon sighed "Yes but last time was the straw with her. I'm dead."
Rhiannon wasn't a bad student. However, she had no Interest in science and math and she always forgot the projects for them.
After quickly running her four laps she got on the field to play soccer. All the girls lined up for Mrs. Vlad to put them in teams. As usual she separated Jolie and Rhiannon because she knew they would talk the whole time.
Rhiannon was passed the ball and went flying down the field. She was always a faster runner than any of them. One of the girls, whom she despised most in the world, Laura Dixon came up and kicked her hard in the leg. She started to laugh and apologized in her over exaggerated southern accent,
"Oops, sorry I though that was the ball."

Mrs. Vlad blew her whistle "Laura! You're goalie now, I'm not putting up with this."
Rhiannon's blood was boiling to a point where she gritted her teeth.
She took the ball as soon as she could and raced all the way down the field to where Laura was. She stopped for a few seconds, backed up and kicked the ball so hard that Laura's face went back.
All she could see was blood coming from Laura's mouth.
Mrs. Vlads whistle was going off repeatedly while a few girls ran to Laura to see if she was okay.
Rhiannon shrugged her shoulders "oops, I thought you were some strong man that could have taken that."
She stormed off the field and threw her yellow cover off her shoulder.

Jolie came running up behind her
"Are you okay? Holy shit that was awesome."
Rhiannon wanted to laugh but her nerves were shot
"Yea I'm okay, I just want to go home I hurt someone bad, and I haven't done my project."
Jolie smirked and took her long brown hair out her pony tail.
"Well, Rhi, you're my ride home so I guess both of us are skipping.
They both raced to the locker room and changed.
Rhiannon put back on her red skater dress and heels, while Jolie put on her jeans and purple chiffon shirt.
They both splashed daisy by Marc Jacobs perfume on and went out.
Rhiannon had skipped many times so they used the same routine.
They went out the back doors and walked to the front of the parking lot. They got in Rhiannon's silver Chevy cruise and speed out the parking lot.

Eve was standing outside the schools football field near the gate. She watched as a short curvy girl with light blonde hair sped  across the field. She used her intuition.
She was the one she was looking for.
She got out her iPhone and called Landon.
Smiling as she said "Hey, I'm watching her right now. She's powerful I can feel it. I'll have her to you soon. For now, I'm going to watch her until I can get her alone."
