A/N: New story on the way. I hope you will enjoy it and believe me, I'm struggling to get more ideas for my other fanfictions!
Annie's POV:
Dear diary, this is the first day I'm writing in you so let me introduce myself. My name is Annie Leonhardt and I live in whatever you want to call it. A house, a home, an apartment, I don't really care, and that's not really important to know. What is important is that I am a lesbian who's still hiding in the closet. I don't know why I haven't come out yet but I don't feel safe doing it. My parents have always had their own opinions and thoughts about the LGBT+ community and I disagree with them. They think people who aren't heterosexual/straight aren't good enough which makes it hard for me to come out. I finished high school and I'm 19 years old which means my parents doesn't need to take care of me anymore, financial. I think you know what that means, if I come out to them they might cut me off entirely and I'll never get through college without their financial support that I have now. They told me they would pay for my studying and I really don't want to lose that support since it's my future we're talking about. BTW, only one person knows that I'm a lesbian... Mikasa Ackerman, my very best friend who I never want to lose. She doesn't know I fancy her I'm in love with her as well.
That's all for this time I guess...
"Annie get down here immediately!" I close my diary and places it under my pillow as I hear my father yell at me, as usual. "I'm coming dad." I yell back as I hurry downstairs to see what he wants. "Your mother and I are going out of town for a week so you'll be on your own. You can invite friends over if you want, go on parties and so on, but don't forget to water our flowers once every other day and maybe clean up before inviting anyone. "We have bought food and candy for you, and special surprise from me..." I look at him and then at the locker he is pointing at. "What's inside dad?" I ask and he opens it, showing all bottles with alcoholic drinks. "Don't drink too much, but do drink." He says before he leaves, locking the door and going away with my mother.
I rush back up into my room and pull out my diary again to write something in it. "What to write..." I ask myself out loud since I'm alone.
I guess it wasn't all... my parents are going away for a week, a whole week and they left me with all the strong drinks and all, telling me to have a party and friends over. I guess that means I'm calling Mikasa... now this is all for this time.
I close my diary and take my phone, unlocking it with my not so smart pin 0000 , but really who cares about a pin? I check my email and text messages before I press the phone application. I scroll through my call log and find Mikasa's name at the bottom, it's been a while since I called her okay? "Just press her name Annie... you can do it." I tell myself as I press on Mikasa's name and then at the green phone. "Beep... Beep... Beep... Mikasa Ackerman." I hear her answer, my heart melting every time. "Hey Mikasa... it's Annie..." I say shyly, not knowing why I act so shy on a phone call. "Hi Annie, what's up?" she asks and I answer the usual. "I was wondering if you wanted to come live with me for a week... my parents are out of town and maybe we could talk again about you know what?" I say, hoping she remembers. "Yeah of course, let me pack my things and I'll see you in an hour?" She replies and I sigh softly in relief. "Yeah. See you! Beep... Beep... Beep..." she hung up.
An hour later I hear the doorbell ring and I hurry downstairs, as I approach the door I see the figure of Mikasa on the other side of the window and I smile. "Mikasa..." I say as I let her in, she's so tall but who cares, she's my best friend. "Hey Annie." She says softly as she hugs me and I hug her back. "It's been a while since I saw you, just because you started college one year before me." I say with a pout, making her laugh. It's rare that she even laughs, and with me. I think I'm one of few who can actually make her laugh. "I agree..." she says softly before kissing my forehead gently. I blush deeply and turn away to close the door, but really I just turned away to hide my blush.
"So about my sexuality... I'm very sure that I'm a lesbian and I could need some advice maybe?" I tell her while we move ourselves towards the couch. "I see, what kind of advice?" She asks, her eyes locked with mine. "Whether or not to come out to my parents... maybe more people... start to hook up..." I say shyly. "Considering your parents' opinion about lesbians, and other odd people as they like to call it, I'd say you shouldn't, however it's really up to you to decide Annie." Mikasa says which I expected from a brilliant person like her. "Okay... what about you? Will you still support me and accept me for who I am?" I ask, needing someone to rely on if coming out would turn into a screw up.
A/N: I hope you enjoyed it so far. Feel free to leave feedback in the comments, if you find any word that might be misspelled or so, fell free to message me or leave a comment with the correct spelling! Hopefully I haven't made any mistakes for real, to be honest it's hard to read on screen, and even harder to correct spelling mistakes that are made. :
