"You're not kidding?" He asked.

"I'm not."

"Why would you even- why would he even- when would he even- how did he even- What?" Axel seemed more confused than me, as if he were the one who found out you were in an arranged marriage.

"Listen bro," I started. "Maybe it was a bad time, maybe he was drunk, I have no idea. All I know is I might be forced to marry some guy from the Candy Kingdom who smells like lemonade."

"Lemonade?" He raised an eyebrow. "Why does he-?"

"Hard to explain," I interrupted. "My point is, I need to find a way to get out of this, besides he didn't sound too happy about it, I'm sure he'll help." I hoped.

"I just can't believe dad would do something like that." He shook his head at the thought, because let's face it. It was pretty crazy.

"How do we even know it was all dad, though?" I asked.

"Bree, we both know our mom. She didn't, and she wouldn't. She's just too innocent, even with three kids, she might as well be the Virgin Mary.'' He said.

"Oh Glob, can we please not talk about that. We all know she's no Virgin Mary." I looked at him and raised both my eyebrows to prove a point.

"I was just making a point." He held his hands up as if to defend himself.

"I know, and you made it kinda awkwardly, but I get it. Anyway, I think I'm gonna go talk to dad about it." I started to walk away from him.

"Are you crazy-" He started to ask.

I fake gasped. "I love crazy!" I exclaimed.

"Don't quote Frozen at me!" He yelled as I started walking away, to find my dad and ask him about the whole arranged marriage.

"Hey, dad?" I knocked on the bedroom door. I could hear the sounds of his axe bass playing inside. I opened the door without him telling me I could ((like a boss)). "We need to talk."

He turned around and set his bass down. "What is it?" He asked.

"Do you know the King and Prince of the Candy Kingdom?" I asked.

He suddenly looked slightly confused. "Yeah, why?" He asked.

"Why do I have an arranged marriage with the prince?" I asked him.

He looked shocked. "How did you know that?" He avoided answering. "Did you go down there? Bree, your mother and I have told you thousands of times to never go down there. It's dangerous and-"

"Stop avoiding the question, dad! Why in Globs name do I have an arranged marriage with a lemon-drop?"

"It was a bad day...." He sighed.

"Explain." I said flatly. "You're not getting out of this house until I have an explanation," I told him. "And I want one now."

"I lost your hand in a game." He said. "I was gambling with him, and he set the standards high, thinking I couldn't lose, I took it. Then... I lost." He didn't look me in the eye, strike that, he couldn't.

"Dad," I said. "You're a coward not to tell me, I hope you know that."
