Chapter 23: Teddy The Shelter Pup

Your POV:

I was just awake and I was checking my calendar.
Tuesday, the day I'm starting volunteering at the animal shelter.
I can't wait!
I went for a shower and got dressed.
I wore a red Christmas jumper some black leggings and my ugg boots.
(BTW It's nearly Christmas)
I grabbed an apple as I was running out the door.
I grabbed my wallet, keys and phone and I was off.
*Le Time Skip*
I got an apron that had the shelter's logo on it.
My job was to assist people looking to adopt.
Well that will be easy since I'm quite outgoing (If your not outgoing like me IRL than just go with it).
I walked up to a girl with curly dark brown hair.
"Hi, can I help you?" I asked.
"Oh yes please, I'm looking for a cat" she replied in a high pitched voice.
"Ok! So do you have any particular preference?" I asked.
"Well I was kinda thinking of getting one that nobody else wants" she said sweetly.
"Aww that's so nice of you! Come on follow me" I said walking to a cage were a cat was.
"This is blue" I said gesturing to a cat.
He was a black cat with a bandage around his front right paw.
His eyes were all purple and blue, he sadly was blind.
"He is sadly blind and he broke his paw" I explained.
"Aww that's so sad... I'll take him!" Said the girl.
"Really?! He's been here for ages without a home!" I exclaimed.
"Yep I'd love to adopt him" she said.
So then I talked to her about vacations and all that stuff.
Now blue has a new home.

*Time Skip To About An Hour Later*
"Ok I hope you take care of her!" I called.
I watched a man with blond hair walk out with poodle called georgette.
I heard a puppy yapping behind me.
They're probably hungry, I should feed them.
I grabbed a packet of dog food and followed the bark.
It belonged to a new puppy.
It was adorable it was a little collie.
It was literally a ball of fluff.
A www, adorable.
Then it put its paw up to the bar of the cage and whimpered.
Looks like it really needs a new home...
*Time Skip Brought To You By Adorable Shelter Dogs*
I opened my front door and put down the puppy.
I just had to adopt him.
I put some food in a bowl.
"Welcome to your new home Teddy" I said to the pup.
(BTW One of my dogs irl is called Teddy and he's a collie terrier mix)
"You can sleep on this pillow for the night until I get you bed" I said.
He jumped onto the pillow.
"Good boy!" I praised.
Then I climbed the stairs.
I went to the bathroom to get into my pjs.
When I crawled into bed Teddy was there.
I was too lazy to bring him back downstairs.
"Ya know what *Yawn* you can sleep here tonight" I yawned.
Then we both fell asleep...
