INTERVIEW W/ JEN IBRAHIM

So today I have something different from my normal recommendation. I partnered up with my favorite author jenibrahim to ask her a few questions about her book, her life, and other random ones. If you haven't already, go check out her amazing series. She has two completed books to the series called Something Great and Something Greater, as well as the third book that she is currently writing called Something Infinite. I - How did you find out about Wattpad?
I honestly can't remember how I found out about Wattpad. I know the first book I ever read was a Harry fanfic called 'Dark', I read it with my sister and my cousin, so maybe someone had told me about it, so I decided to give it a read. I most likely saw it on Twitter.

I - Best moment on the app since you joined?
Winning the Watty's was an amazing achievement for me, but I think my favourite moments are when my readers send me messages, telling me how my books have helped them in their own lives. People use them as an escape, and I think it's truly incredible that I can, in some way, help someone forget their problems for a while.

I - I actually am one of those people. Your book is so great for me to do that! How did you think of the plot of your book?
This is going to sound so cliche, but I dreamt it. I had a dream I was dating Harry Styles, then ended up sleeping with Luke Hemmings, not Ashton like my book, and I woke up and told a friend about it, and decided you know what, let's turn this into a book. I'd been thinking about writing fanfic for a while, so when that plot came to me, I ran with it and expanded it.

I - That's so funny! You did a great job running with it I have to say. What is your favorite thing about your readers?
My favourite thing about my readers is their dedication and loyalty to me. I love the regular readers that always comment on every chapter, even if it's a few words, they have still taken the time to give some feedback. I love that I have readers who have been there since December 2014, and are still here in July 2016, the loyalty they have to my books is incredible, and sometimes very rare to come across.

I - I wish I could have been there from the very beginning but sadly I wasn't on here at the time, but I'm all caught up so that's good! Who is your favorite character to write about?
Such a hard question, my 3 main ones I love to write about are Harry, Angus and Jen. I love getting inside Harry's head, and pretending like I know anything about him. Jen's character has been challenging, which I like, because I've learnt a lot through her, and given myself life lessons along the way. Angus' character is very much like the real him, so he says. I just love how cheeky he is, but can also be very serious, and very protective of the people in his life. Angus is very popular amongst my readers too, so I always enjoy thinking of new witty comebacks and one liners for him.

I - Angus is definitely one of my faves! Are there any surprises coming for Something Infinite in the future?
There's always surprises around the corner with Something Infinite 😉

I - How did I know that would be your answer?😂 Love your surprises though! Once you are finished with the SG series, do you want to start a new series?
My intentions were to write the trilogy, then move on completely from it. But now that I've given Jen and Harry a child, I'd love to do a spin off with her as a teen, and create a new book, and a new story to be told. I'm setting that book up as I write this current book. There are little bits and pieces in there that will carry on to my new book. Things like how Harry will be/act with a teenager, who will be in the book, who else will have children in the forth book etc...

I - YES! I cannot wait to read Mia's spinoff I know it will be great! What is a book you love on Wattpad? A paper back book you love?
My favourite Wattpad book is the AFTER trilogy by Anna Todd. My favourite paperback is A Beautiful Disaster by Jaime McGuire.

I - Oh yes all the After books are some of favourites as well. What would you like to accomplish in the future?
I would love to publish my books, that's my ultimate goal.

I - You know I will be first in line to snatch those books once they hit the stores 🙋🏽 Do you have a job?
Yes, I have two. I work for a company called Spotless. During the week, I work as a shift supervisor in one of their vendors in the city, and on weekends I'm a bar supervisor at the MCG (stadium in Melbourne)

I - Name a place you want to visit one day.
Croatia, because my mums family are from there, and I have a lot of family still living there.

I - That would be a great place to travel to! Who is your celebrity crush?
I have the biggest girl crush on Bella Hadid, she is stunning. As for male, who can go past Harry Styles? Ha!

I - Same! Those Hadid girls are STUNNING. And I figured he would be your male, nice choice 😉 If you could spend one day with any celebrity, who would it be?
I'm so insanely shy, I don't think I could even handle being in the presence of someone I admire. I think I'd like to spend a day with Demi (Harman) because we've spoken back and forth on Instagram, it would be nice to talk to her face to face, and get to know her better.

I - That's a good choice! I'd definitely want to get to know the real her, because all I know is the Jen part of her lol. Is there any quotes you live by?
Never let someone else's opinion of you, define who you are.

I - That's a wonderful one. Instagram, Twitter, or Snapchat?
I have them all. I prefer Twitter, I get all my world news from there, and whatever gossip is going around that day. If you want to add me on any my snap is jenibrahimm, Instagram somethinggreatbooks and jenibrahim and Twitter jenibrahim.

I - Sadly, I don't have snapchat or Twitter but I got you on Instagram! This one may be hard, your favorite 1D album?
Honestly, I love Up All Night and Made In The A.M. the best. I've always enjoyed 1D but I wasn't a huge fan of FOUR, Midnight Memories was a big hit and miss for me, and Take Me Home was pretty good too. But yes, the latest one is by far my favourite.

I - I'm in love with MITAM. Say you are watching TV, what is on?
Either Home and Away, Wentworth, Bold and The Beautiful or Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Or anything on MTV really.

I - Yes, KUWTK is my go to. Pick one makeup product to have with you at ALL times.
Foundation. My skin around my chin is such a nightmare, so I always wear foundation to work, and let my skin breathe whenever I'm not.

I - Ugh I have that same problem! What type of movie genre do you most watch?
Romantic comedies

I - Love those! Last question, who is your favorite current or past 1D girlfriend?
Eleanor Calder, I've always loved and adored her.
