"I walked among the roses.

My feet are bare and stained with blood

My eyes scan the field

I'm searching, I can't find it.

The sharp thorns of the roses pierce my skin

But all I feel is emptiness in my heart.

With my eyes, the color of storm clouds before lightning strikes, I see blood.

I'm searching, I still can't find it.

I pick a rose and deeply inhale.

Its sweet aroma fills my lungs.

My brain, aching from exhaustion, tells me I feel pain

But my heart

Deeply yearning for something more

Shows me the single rose without thorns.

I was searching, I found it."
