"Gabrielle?" No answer. "Gabrielle?" I said her name a bit louder, still no answer.

I walked towards the couch and put my phone on charge. I looked at the poster, still in my hands. I googled her name.

AVA JORDAN MISSING TEEN

AVA JORDAN FAMILY PUTTING OUT REWARD?

I felt sad as hell. She's been missing for almost 2 years and no one knows where she's at. I let my phone charge since most articles were about the same thing.

I walked over to the kitchen and poured me a cup of orange juice. You ever get that feeling that somebody watching you and nobody there? That's how I felt. It was 8:36, nobody else wasn't here except me.

I walked towards the living room to see a the same brush I saw in the bathroom and a note on the couch next to the missing person poster. I put my OJ on the floor and read the note. Your mom isn't here. She left because you were taking a long time. Xoxo Ava.

I threw the note back on the couch. "Hell no." I mumbled. I was at home by myself and getting notes by a ghost? Nope. Ion even believe in that shit. I got my book bag and walked fast towards the door.I bumped into Gabrielle when I opened the door who had bags of groceries in her hands.

"Help me with the groceries please so I can take you to school." She was struggling with the groceries, so I took them from her and sat them on the counter.

"Enjoy your first day, even though we're almost an hour late." She smiled

She gave me my schedule, " I printed it off before we left Houston." "Thanks." I got out of the car and walked towards the entrance.

The school was bigger than my old high school. It was just a two stairs, curved going towards the next floor. I had to find class 240D

Ava POV

I didn't mean to scare him with my note. I just didn't want him to be clueless. I guess if I was alive and in his shoes, I would be creep the hell out too. I observed a lot about him so far. He pays close attention to his surrounding, is determine, and a quick learner.

I followed him into the building. He was going up the stairs to one of his classes. I heard the bell rang, I heard him sigh while changing directions and going towards the lockers.

I saw her coming towards our direction. Her locker was on the opposite of the hall and most of her classes were too. "Are you new?" She asked Sammy. "Mhm." He was too busy focusing on his locker to pay her any attention. I was angry. How could she did what she did to me? You proceed to live free and do whatever you choose with your life while you took mine from me.

Every time I thought about what they did only made me angrier.

They held me under water. They could only hear my gurgles and splashes I made with my feet and hands trying to free myself from his grip. As the ocean water began to fill my lungs, I couldn't move my hands or feet anymore. I gave up.
