"Help!" I want to scream, but I choke down the words. There's no one here to hear me. I'm surrounded by stainless steal counters and glass walls. I feel like a fish in a bowl. Where to from here?I thought that they would be here, obviously not. Quietly I pad down the hallway, nodding to the other workers. They don't suspect a thing about me, I'm look like one of them. To them that just as well makes me one of them.
"Where to?" The security guard is speaking to me. My heart pounds, they're on to me. They're going to find me out. And I'm going to die. I'm too young to die. Wait... she's still smiling. Nothing is wrong. I'm overreacting, giving myself away.
"Oh, just around." Sweat beads on my forehead, and I chuckle a little. It sounds strained. "Haha, you know how the boss is, ordering us around."
the guard smiles knowingly and lets me through. I walk on, trying not to look stiff. I'm sure they're watching me, they know my every move. I get to the end of the hall. This is it.I take a deep breath, I did it.as I place my hand on the cool handle I hesitate a moment, then open it nonchalantly.
Eeewooeewooo! A sirens blaring, shoot. I freeze. I'm not going to succeed. I'm going to die
