The week after we found the body we got a letter for David

~~~~~~Letter~~~~~~
MAINE COUNTY COURT HOUSE
DAVID P. BUSH
MATTHEW J. SMITH
HAS ASKED YOU TO BE HIS DEFENDANT IN COURT
TO PROVE HIS INNOCENCE
COURT DATE: 7/5/16
~~~~~~End of Letter~~~~~~

David before he was our friend was Matthew's friend so that's why he was picked to be his defendant.

'I knew Susan k. Smith she is Matthew's cousin' David said as tears ran down his face 'She was a nice person' David said. We was all in shock 'and the court date is tomorrow' Emily replied.

The next day we walked into the court house to see Matthew in hand cuffs and two cops around him as David went to his seat and we watched the whole thing unfold 'Matthew j. Smith do you swear to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth' the judge said 'yes mam' he replied the prosecutor called Matthew to the stand 'ok Matthew so let me get this straight you're a werewolf right?' He said 'yes' Matthew replied

'So why would kill your cousin?' He said 'I never liked her' he said
'So that's an excuse to murder her?' He said confidently 'no sir' he replied.

'I see no further talking to you, you may be seated' he said then the prosecutor called David to the stand ' so David did you know he had done this?' He said 'no sir' he replied ' how long have you known him?' He said '2 years' he replied 'why would he commit murder?' He said 'I don't know sir' he replied.

'You may be seated' he said 'thank you sir' and he returned to his seat 2 hours had passed and nothing but talking, and waiting, and talking, and waiting. The jury had a conclusion 'I find Matthew j. Smith Guilty of murdering his cousin' then the judge snaked her hammer thing my friends never knew what it was called and she said 'I find Matthew J. Smith guilty of manslaughter and will receive a 22 year sentence in jovinial jail until adulthood then moved to a prison were he will spend 21 years in prison' she said as Matthew's mom starting crying.

'MY BABY MY SON' she said as tears filled her face. the police escorted Matthew out of of court. And into a police van were he went to jail. We will never see Matthew again until I am 38.

His mom sent him letters everyday.

And so he did to.
