Being the only one who works at a dog day care is not easy, especially when you are secretly working a second job.

Charlie has not told anyone that she works as a grocery bagger at her local shop because she can barely afford her apartment. She wants to make the fee's for her doggie day care affordable and more dog owners would want to come, but it's slowly affected her everyday life style.

Sitting on her usual park bench, she watches the many dogs run free at the dog park. There are a few other dog owners there too but she's never seen them before.

When she is getting ready to gather the four legged fellas to go, she feels her phone buzzing in her back pocket.

"Charlie Ryan here." She speaks into the phone, slightly distracted by the chaos the dogs are causing.

"Hey Charlie, it's Tucker. I know this must sound horrible but can you do me another favor? I'm really behind in work and I'm probably going to be pulling an all nighter here at work." Tucker tells her with desperation in his voice.

"And you want me to watch Red?" Charlie finishes for him.

"Please, can you? It's my first day and I'm already flooded with a whole bunch of stuff to do." He complains to her.

Charlie chuckles at her crush's complaining but quickly covers it up with a cough. She definitely doesn't want him to think she's laughing at him.

The two talk for a little while longer until his boss yells at him to get back to work. After she hangs up the phone, Charlie gathers up the dogs to go back to the center.

"Bentley, come here boy." She shouts across the park to get the attention of her favorite dog.

Charlie smiles at the sight of her favorite dog make his way towards her. It makes her wonder about his family and who his real owner is. Mrs. Royal is the only the house sitter because the owner travels all the time.

She finds it funny that Mrs. Royal avoids the subject topic every time Charlie tries to bring it up. Charlie finds it better for her to bond with the dogs when she knows their owners. It gives her a feeling for how they're treated at home.

Speaking of Mrs. Royal, she's running across the park waving her hands shouting, "Charlie! Charlie!"

"Hi Mrs. Royal, why didn't you just call? We were just heading back to the center so the dogs could take their naps."

"There's no time sweetie. Bentley's owner is coming home soon and he has to be there when he gets back." Mrs. Royal quickly says to Charlie.

"Okay, here's his leash." Charlie hands the rolled up leash to her and clips Bentley to it.

"Oh and Bentley won't be coming for the rest of the week because his owner wants to spend time with him. He's constantly traveling so these few days are rare for the two of them and he wants every second he could get." She explains to the younger girl.

"Don't worry about it Mrs. Royal. Bentley's wonderful and we'll just see him when comes back." Charlie reassures her.

With one final wave, Charlie watches Mrs. Royal and Bentley walk towards her car. Charlie is definitely going to miss Bentley, even if it is for a few days. Even though he's been with her the longest, she's never met his owner.

That starts to get her thinking on who he is. For all Charlie knows, he could be at the park at this very second and she would never know.

In Charlie's mind she starts to create what she thinks is Bentley's owner. He's got blonde hair, slightly above the eyes with bright blue eyes. She assumes he is a runner because dog's like Bentley like to get a lot of exercise. Charlie can picture it now, the mystery owner and Bentley going for a run around the park.

If he travels often then he must have a decent job that makes a lot of money, or maybe he just travels to see the world. For some reason she does not even know his name because he always pays in cash.

Now that Charlie thinks about it, what if he is some sort of drug dealer. It makes sense, paying in cash, never being here, and traveling the world.

Stop over thinking it Charlie. He's probably a good guy with a job that requires him to be out of the office a lot.

Charlie chuckles at her thought because it seems ridiculous that she questioned that he is a drug dealer. Drug dealers do not use the service of pleasant old ladies like Mrs. Royal.

After gathering all of the other dogs, they all make their way back to the day care center. By the time they get there the only thing they have time for is their naps that is probably the only reason why Charlie stays sane throughout the day.

Sometimes owners would come by while their dog is sleeping, but that would be the time where Charlie talks to the owners. She has owners that range from high school students to CEO's of their own companies, but no matter who it is, they always seem to like to talk to her.

Once the last dog is ready to go home, Charlie sits down on the couch and pulls Red onto her lap.

"It looks like it's you and me tonight." She tells the dog.

Right when she's getting ready to close up the day care center, she hears the doorbell ring.

"I wonder who that is Red. I really wonder who would be here at this hour."

As soon as she opens the door she sees someone that she would never expect to see, ever.

"Hi, I'm Bentley's owner. I think Mrs. Royal forgot to grab Bentley's ball."
