Death. That's the first thing on her mind. She is seeing death, right in front of her. But he looks surprised. Who knew Death can feel human emotion? The real question here was, why wasn't she running for her life? She couldn't look away from his obsidian eyes that bore into her own crimson ones, looking into her soul. He slowly walked towards her, scythe in hand, but she still couldn't look away. Couldn't move. He moved slowly, fluidly, almost like water. He reached her faster than she could have expected. He towered over her, like a giant. But maybe that was just because she was around 5'4". Short compared to most of her family.

He lifted his scythe a little and then she remembered who he was. Her eyes darted to the blood covered weapon of death and the hand that held it. White, almost like bone. Maybe that's why everyone says that Death is a skeleton, but he isn't. He's a man, a beautiful man. Her eyes darted back up to meet his. She wasn't afraid. She was, curious.

You know what they say. Curiosity killed the cat.
