1 Corinthians 9:24 KJV
[24] Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
Everyone runs, but only wins the prize.
What does a trophy mean? It means to stand for what you have placed or won.
The trophy didn't come by accident.
Colossians 3:23-24 KJV
[23] And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; [24] Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
We are going to win an award. But we have to run. We gotta run. We gotta run the race that is before us. We have to give it our all, but we also have to pace ourselves. This is the hour to urgently prepare and run
Here our three things we must do to run.
1. Prepare mentally
What are we focused on? To win? Or to loose? What are we looking to? We must prepare ourselves mentally to win, to have a wining mentality. Today is not the day to give up.
Romans 12:2 KJV
[2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
2. Prepare physically
Spiritually, we have to be prepared physically. What are we doing with our bodies? Our we using it for Christ?
We need find ways to keep busy for the lord, otherwise it opens the door for the devil. We need to busy about the Lord's business. Otherwise, we get lazy.
3. Prepared spiritually.
The Bible says we don't fight against flesh and blood, but against powers and principalities. We need to be prepared spiritually because he's out there to destroy us. We have to get in the Word and follow His will.
Philippians 3:14 KJV
[14] I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Give your all to Christ. Today is not the day to quit. Strive for the prize.
