'look at me, Mick! I'm not normal! Far from it actually.' I paced around the small hall with all this energy building up inside me. The few survivors from the attack were watching cautiously around them, even at me to see if I would attack.

'I know your not normal. Eliza, please, calm down. Everyones on edge here and you pacing around here like something bad's gonna happen isn't helping keep everyone calm.' I looked at him with a shocked expression on my face. Is he saying that this is my fault?

How could I tell him that something bad is defiantly going to happen, very soon. I began to pace again, this time more slowly. He stood up and walked over to me, grabbed my shoulder and made me look at him.

'your a strong girl, no, sorry, woman. We've come this far together and with the survivors we have left. And we can face anything else that's coming for us. There's nothing to worry about. I love you Eliza.' our chocolate eyes locked onto each other. 1 year and 7 months we've been together, and there's many more to come. But my thoughts ran back to all those people I could've saved. I broke the stare and looked down at my feet.

'I love you too Mick. But, I don't think that many people are going to come out alive after this one. Even if I am a Cometten, I don't think I have what it takes to defeat this one.' I could tell he was thinking hard of what to say, I sighed and walked away to a chair and sat down, my head in hands. And thought back to when this all began.

------ 2 days earlier... -------

'quickly, the Metaloids have already crossed into the territory. We have to move and get everyone to the gym!' giving out orders wasn't easy when the enemy wasn't far away. 'grace, get the primary sector with jake. Hayden, you'll go with Lilly to the middle sector and I'll go to the seniors.' orders were given out and we split. Heading into different sectors of the school.

Frantically pounding the door with my fist I stepped back a bit to let the person open the door. Stepping in I spoke in a hush voice with the teacher, all eyes staring at us as I did so. Once done, I went to the middle of the classroom and began speaking.

'everyone must listen to me, because this is a life or death situation. This is not a hoax, this is not a joke. This is real, this reality, and this happening. Now. Outside, not too far away are creatures called the dogs of hell. They're from a race called the Metaloids. They're very dangerous, and if you don't do as we say, you'll most likely die.'

'whose "we"?' a boy from the class asked, his brown gelled hair spiked from the back made him look like a porcupine.

' "we" are here to protect you, no questions needed. All you need to know is that we need to protect you from them. Now, all of you need to go to the gym in a line, no one separates from that line, ever. You must stay as a group, or the consequence will be you dying at the claws of the hounds.' no one said a word as I finished, the teacher began giving instructions to the students. As I started to leave someone called me.

'Eliza! Wait.' I turned around and saw Mick - my boyfriend - was running up to me. 'what's going on?' I sighed before I said anything, and looked him in his chocolate eyes, they were full of concern.

'the school is going to be under attack very soon, and if we don't move everyone to the gym, then theres not much chance of survival for anyone.' I said. There was no nice way to put it. He looked away and didn't look me in the eye, I placed my hand under his chin and made him look me in the eye.

'everything's gonna be okay, just please make sure everyone stays in the line to the gym.' I left before he could say anything.

Moving to the next classroom, I repeated myself telling them that it wasn't a hoax and they all had to get to the gym as fast as possible.
