13 Years Before.....
"I don't wanna do this anymore Daddy.I'm tired of playing this game.Down there hurt and me and Maya don't like-SLAP!Little Ka'miyah's body went flying into the wall making her unconscious on impact.Fearful Amaya who only came over to play with her 5-year old best friend stood in the corner crying knowing what was bound to happen next.Coming closer,he roughly chokes Amaya and whispers"your such a pretty pretty girl,wanna play with me?"
Little Amaya quickly shakes her head no not wanting to do any nastiness with the man.She quickly ran once she heard the doorbell ring knowing her mother was here to come pick her up after work.Once at the door seeing her mother,Amaya quickly felt safe and secure knowing her best fried had to stay with that man because her mother loved that man and was surely under his spell.
4Hours Later...
"Ka'miyah,Ka'miyah,mommy's here baby girl".,said Linda ,Ka'Miyah's mother.
Ka'Miyah,in pain from the sexual abuse her mother's boyfriend has been doing to her ever since she was 3,walked slowly to her mother with tear streaks on her face.Linda who's back was facing Ka'miyah unaware of the abuse her daughter had to face slowly turns around and begins crying seeing her daughter looking so distraught.
"What happened baby girl?Tell mama so she can help you",said Linda with tears running down her face looking through the eyes of her weary daughter.
Knowing that her mother would never believe her over that man,Ka'miyah keeps quiet about the abuse.Quickly,thinking of a lie,Ka'miyah quickly says,"Sometimes the kids bother me,but me and Amaya beat them up together and then they start crying".Linda looks in her daughter's eyes and sees sincerity.Knowing that her mother believed her,Ka'miyah quickly changes the subject knowing her mother is still thinking about the situation at hand.
Biting into an apple knowing that's the only thing she's had to eat,since her mother's boyfriend,Derrick, who's left to watch her every afternoon didn't feed her only rape her,she hungrily ate it.
Jokingly,Linda laughs and says,"Well,I see someone didn't eat.Did Derrick starve you or something ?"
Knowing that the indeed answer was yes,young Ka'miyah scared of what her mother would think of her if she ever knew,she distinctively says no and laughs it up while her insides hurt after being thrown into the wall.
Meanwhile,Derrick is hiding discreetly on the steps listening to Ka'miyah and Linda have their own little conversation.Derrick is left thinking by his lonesome how he's gonna keep Ka'miyah quiet just until he skips town because Linda is so pathetic.She should've known something was up by now.
Derrick then gets a phone call."Hello?",questions Derrick.
"DERRICK,HURRY UP AND COME TO THE HOSPITAL,HES COMING RIGHT NOW!I'M IM LABOR!",said Starr,Derrick's side on-and-off fling
"Okay,I'm on my way,damn",replied Derrick.
"Where you going babe?",questioned Linda with a raised brow.Derrick has been leaving at night in a hurry for the past month.
"Sorry babe,it's just business",lied Derrick.Linda believed him no matter what and didn't dare question him not once even when his stories never matched up.That was her boyfriend and she loved him.
