Ayesha
I smiled to myself when I saw Lebron walk through his front door. I'd been patiently waiting on him for what seemed like forever. He stepped off his porch and I began straightening my dress to make sure it looked okay and combing through my hair with my fingers. Just when I thought I looked half decent, I looked up and saw Lebron take a right turn then begin walking down the sidewalk - in the opposite direction of me!
It was weird. He didn't even acknowledge my presence and I know he'd seen me.
I stood up and without a seconds hesitation began walking towards him. I looked both ways, crossed the street, then began jogging to catch up.
"Go back home Ayesha." He said plainly when I was just a few steps behind him.
"Wh-what?" I stammered, "Where are you going? You weren't even gona speak?"
Instead of answering, he kept walking. So I kept following. He was acting strange and I wanted to know why.
He hadn't been outside all day and it was almost seven o'clock. He usually came over to my house as soon as he woke up. I couldn't help but to wonder if it had something to do with Ms. Sonya going to his house earlier that day... And seeing his house the way it was.
"Lebron, why are you ignoring me?!" I demanded. I was trying my hardest to keep up with him but he was practically power walking and taking big steps.
"I'm not ignoring you. I just have to go handle some things.. and its best you don't see." He abruptly stopped walking, making me bump into him from behind. He turned around and looked me dead in the eyes, "Go home." He said sternly.
I looked at him sadly for a second. Wondering what was going on and what I did to make him not want to be around me. I looked around and saw that we were on the corner of the street. I knew my mom would blow a gasket if she walked outside and didn't see me sitting on the porch.
"But Lebr-"
"Don't fuckin' follow me." He interrupted with a growl then resumed power walking.
I sighed deeply as my eyes began to sting with tears. I watched
Lebron storm off until he disappeared from my view, then began my walk back home.Lebron never cursed at me. Never. And the fact that he did, knowing that I wasn't used to that type of language really hurt my feelings. Once I got back to my porch, I turned around and slumped on to my top step. As hurt as I was, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was really wrong.

"That's game!" Carmelo laughed throwing my basketball at Klay. "Y'all wana get beat again?"
Klay sucked his teeth, "Yep. Check ball."
Carmelo shook his head as he tried to gain his breath. "Sore loser. Why can't you be like McShitty and take your loss like a man?"
"His name's Steph." Klay answered defensively.
"Well his name's McShitty to me, boy."
"Who you callin' boy?" Klay let the ball slide out of his hand and began walking towards Carmelo, but Carmelo only laughed.
"Hey. Don't get mad at me cause you suck."
I shook my head. The two of them had been going at it all three games we'd played.
"I'm tired of your mouth." Klay said, checking the ball to Carmelo.
"Well beat me and I'll shut up!" Carmelo answered, wiping sweat off his forehead.
