Chapter 3 - The Accident

We were on the motorway and I think we are almost home but i'm not sure. I am so board right now, Why can't something interesting happen.

'how much longer' I moan to my mum and dad and they laugh at me

'Only half an hour, sweety' my mum giggled.

I decided i could fit in a little nap before we're home. I shut my eyes and try to fall asleep but for some reason I'm not tired at all.Suddenly i looked up and i saw a car . It was coming towards us!. I locked eyes with the other driver . There wasn't enough time for my dad react. It happened so fast. The impact was so hard, that I thought I was going to break into pieces. The pain was so excruciating. There was the fast sound of the ripping metle,screeching tires, shattering glass and a scream. My bloodcurdling scream. I felt my body slammed forward against the seatbelt, pieces of shattering glass pierce my arms and my head hit hard against the seat in front of me. My vision was filled with the colour red. Blood. Then the world turned black.

I woke up in a small room. Was this a hospital room?. Whats happened?. Were is my family?.Ava. Mum. Dad.

Just then a nurse came in ''Hello miss, How are you feeling today'' she asked me and i triy to speak but nothing come out. Finally after a few minutes i could finally speak ''I'm...f..fine?'' I reply to her more like a question and she smiles at me then a question pops into my head ''Wheres my family'' i ask but I'm not sure i want to know the answer. The smile fell from her face and was replaced with a frown ''Well, your mother and father, They died as soon as the cars collided'' I took a sharp inhale of air, My parents were dead-WAIT what about Ava is she still alive.

''What about my little sister'' I ask hoping at least shes ok. The nurse thought for a moment ''Well, we are not quite sure about her yet'' How could she not know how Ava was. I wanted to scream at her. Ava is my little sister i'm suppose to protect her.

''How can you not know'' i ask trying not to shout, a frown forming on my face

''Well, i'm not her nurse''  she said annoyed, then left the room. What! I was still talking to her and she just left. I hate Hospitals so much right now the nurses are rude, The beds are uncomfortable, they smell weird and they-

I was pulled out of my thoughts by someone shouting''But i need to see her'' It's not Ava this is a guy talking or shouting i wounder who?. I decide to eavesdrop on the conversation not because im nosy but because i have nothing to do.

"but I have to see her" the man shouted again from outside

"im sorry but it isn't visiting hours" the nurse yelled and I heard the clicking of her heals walking away. The door slowly opened and the first thing I saw was a mop of messy curls peek in from around the door.

"Harry, what are you doing here" I raise my eyebrows Im really confused how did he even know i was in a car crash.  

He walked towards me and sat in the chair ''I wanted to see if you were ok'' he smiled that's really nice of him considering i only met him 2 days ago. 

''How did you even know i was in a crash'' i ask looking at my arms which were covered in bandages.

''How could i not know, it was all over the news'' His smile fell and turned into a frown ''Do you know about your parents'' he whispered and i nodded

''Why did they tell you'' i said confused, Again. I thought they only tell family members what happens and all of my family members were in the crash. He bit his lip trying to hold in a laugh ''If anyone asks im your brother'' he chuckled looking at me. I bite my lips trying to hide the laughter.

 ''Do you know if Ava's ok'' i smile slightly hoping he might know. He nodded ''She's fine, Lucky just like you'' he smiled wider ''Their going to let yous both out in about a week'' i frown i really really really hate hospitals i won't last a week in here.

''Whats wrong?'' He asked his eyebrows raised in confusion he must not understand my hatred for hospitals. I shake my head ''I hate hospitals'' i frown and look at my arms again which are starting to get really sore but i ignored the pain.

''Why'' He asked i was about to answer what my annoying nurse came in ''Its looks like your sister is-'' she stopped when she saw Harry sitting in the chair ''What are you doing here'' She hissed pointing a finger at him. I could tell he was trying to hide a smirk but that only seemed to annoy the nurse more.

''Get out'' She yelled now pointing towards the door and i bit my lip trying not to burst out laughing

''I wanted to see my sister'' he smirked winking at me and i just nodded trying even harder not to laugh

''I don't care, now Leave'' she yelled and i swear i think i saw steam coming out her ears 

Harry put his hands up in a surrender position ''Ok, ok don't get your panties in a twist'' he chuckled and i let a giggle slip out my mouth but nether of them noticed. The nurse crossed her arms satisfied and watched Harry as he left the room ''I'll see you in visiting hours, Which is like 5 minutes from now'' He smirked before leaving the room.

The nurse sighed in frustration and looked back up at me ''Now, as i was about to say before i was rudely interrupted, Your sister is perfectly fine'' She fake smiled and i nodded not looking in her direction. Maybe if i pissed her off enough she would make me leave early but probably not.

She stormed out the room slamming the door behind her ''Bitch'' i whispered to myself as i tried to get comfortable on the bed which is almost impossible. I wonder if Ava will be healthy enough to come visit me or if im healthy enough to visit her. I really want to see her and make sure she's ok. Does she have a bitchy nurse like me? Nah Ava's to sweet to everyone.

I close my eyes not quite sure what to do. This is another reason i hate hospitals there is nothing to do at all. I sigh reopening my eyes and looking around the room again. It was all white, Very boring why can't it be bright fun colors?.
