Saving Grace - A Daniel Skye Fanfic

Chapter One

Grace's P.O.V. 

     I couldn't take this anymore, I ran into my bathroom and grabbed my blade, and pressed against my skin. Three fresh cuts. I know what your probably thinking, I shouldn't be doing this, and blah-blah-blah. My whole life I've been a disappointment, my grades suck, my father abuse me, and I'm all alone.  

     I wake up and lay in my bed dreading the day ahead of me, good news is my dads leaving on a business trip so I have the house to myself for about 1 week. I walk downstairs to my dad reading the paper in the kitchen.

"You were supposed to be up at 8 it's 8:30" My dad says

"Good morning to you to" I say, regretting it right after 

"What did you just say to me?" He says outraged and slapped me in the face  

"Nothing, I'm sorry. What do you want for breakfast?" I say trying to change the subject 

"Eggs, Bacon, and toast, hurry up I have work soon" He says dryly 

"Yes sir."

     Well that's my dad for you, he thinks I'm his servant. You might be wondering where my mom is, she married someone else and has a new family, I haven't talked or seen her for 3 years. My dad gives me a bunch of chorus to do before he leaves for work. He told me that he's leaving as soon as he get's home.  Thank the lord. 

      By the time I finish the chorus it' 3:30 so I went food shopping. Fun. I bought anything I would need or wanted because he's not going to see scene he'll be gone. I got ice cream, chips, candy, soup, etc. I go to the cash register and there's this boy I've seen, my town is small and he looks around my age so yes I would know who he is. I VERY awkwardly put my things on the (idk the name but you know what I'm taking about).

"How's your day going" He says *reads name tag*

"Pretty good, how's yours?" I say

"Great haha" he laughs

"54.97 is your total" Daniel says

Daniel's P.O.V.

"Thank you" I say as she hands me the money. 

"What's your name?" I ask before she leaves

  "Grace" She says shyly    

"Nice to meet you Grace" I say

"You to Daniel" She smiles

    I hope I see her again.
