*Stephanie's Point of View*
"Don't go causing any more trouble", I mocked. "Yeah right! As if i was gonna stay here and miss all the action. No way that's ever happening," I thought to myself as soon as every soldier went to their stations. I grabbed my leather jacket, safety bag (It basically contains everything i'll ever need), my helmet, and a map, and quickly darted out of the room. The only thing i was missing now were my guns. They were still stored in my armory.
I walked across the hallway, which was now empty, took a sharp left turn and started running. I heard the signal bell ring all through out the camp. Tanks were roaring to life. Soldiers were positioning themselves. Guards were shouting, "GET TO SAFETY" to me and i nodded my head while avoiding them immediately. As soon as i was out of sight, i slowed down my running and tried to clear my head. I entered my play ground.
My "play ground" is an abandoned mine field used by the army long before it was banned. No one ever comes here, except for me, which i was happy about. I found out about this place when i was 12, and ever since then i'd been storing all my guns and weapons and paraphernalia inside the cave, which could only be entered by crossing the mine field. When i first saw the mine field, i thought the mines didn't work anymore, due to the prolonged exposure of disuse. But all that changed when i saw a rabbit overtake me and got blasted into bits.
"Thank god for that rabbit", i murmured to myself as I began to do my little dance. "One hop to the left, one quick sidestep to the right. Walk forward two steps, skip diagonally with your right foot..." I concentrated. I could do this little dance of mine with my eyes closed, but as soon as i remembered the image of the poor old rabbit's insides turned inside out, i was scarred for life. I always played it safe.
I reached the cave and sprinted inside. I grabbed my favorite Saiga 12- Automatic Shotgun, some spare ammo, a 45 caliber pistol, a bullet proof kevlar vest, and a hand knife. I looked down at the grenades residing near my set of ammunition. I was on the verge of grabbing one, but the memory of the rabbit struck my mind once again, and i made the firm decision of not bringing one with me to war. If i were to die, i sure as hell wouldn't want to have bits of my body all over the place. Poor rabbit.
I left my little piece of haven, and prepared myself of the war that was about to happen. I wore the kevlar, strapped the ammunition to my chest, refilled my baby Saiga with fresh bullets, placed my extra gun and handknife in my belt, and wore my safety bag. "Let's do this," I said loudly to reassure myself. Thrilled with excitement and fear, i headed to the sound of gunshots and bombs back in camp. While devising a plan to be able to help, i said a silent prayer to my beloved Bucky for not following his request of me "not causing any more trouble."
Oh, I'm not causing any more trouble, Tiger.
I AM trouble.
And here i come.
