On their first day they started to talk through Gmail. It was unique and clandestine (something she liked).
Something she liked but he didn't.
Then he asked for her number cuz Gmail was getting annoying; she gave it to him- trusting him. They began texting back and forth, him beginning with I cant believe you actually gave it to me.
There began the feelings. Feelings are messy, she knew that. She also knew that feelings were nice and cuddly and gave you a reason to smile for absolutely no reason. Well, there was a reason. Him.
He was the first one to confess, and she immediately had a knot growing in the bottom of her stomach. She knew what would happen, it happened before. The guys she was with liked her a lot more than she had liked them. So when he told her that he liked her, she told him the truth.
"I kinda like you too." She typed that then hit send.
When he replied it was with surprise, and she walked into Walgreens with a weird feeling in her stomach, the knot was getting tighter- more permanent.
So they talked and talked and talked every day and night. He became her best friend. She became his.
HE told her that he loved her not long after he confessed he liked her. She was again reminded of the knot in her stomach making its home, snuggling into her like her hamster used to with his disgusting pee-filled bedding.
That's probably what she deserved- disgusting pee-filled bedding. But, no. she made him happy and that made her happy.
All was well right?
Knot.
