Mia looked over the crowd, all shouting and cheering. She heard the faint chant of her name. The bright neon lights traced over her body casting shadows across the stage. Her heeled boots felt light even though they had inches layered on to make her appear tall.
"You got this, Mia." Holt whispered from backstage. The sound came through the mic she had on her ear.
"And you-ooh-ooh- you-ooh, ooh..." She sang slowly.
"Had me for a million times..." She bowed her head, she felt dizzy after singing the last verse of her top song. The crowd screamed louder hoping for more, Mia was known to give in and run the concert even longer. Not this time.
She raised her head and her hands.
"Thank you, Miami!" She yelled. Her white teeth smiled and glowed in the black light that was crossing around. Mia giggled at how thank you Miami was so cliché.
"Alright, lowering down." Holt's voice went through her ears like caramel. It warmed her already heated body. The floor beneath her started moving slowly downward. She blew kisses to the audience before her head had finally released down and she was under the stage.
"Mia, that was gorgeous!" Hold exclaimed. He grabbed her hand and looked at her. Small beads sweat sat on her temples. She took the rag offered to her by a guard and wiped them.
"It wasn't that good, but thank you." Mia said.
Holt pulled Mia in to him, he held her whilst walking sideways down the corridor. He pressed his lips to hers emerging her in a wonderful kiss.
"Miss Resneé, Brian Porter sent this for you." one of the guards tapped her shoulder. She backed from the kiss and took the letter.
"Who is Brian Porter?" Holt asked. He eyed the letter Mia was holding. "If you need me I'll be in my dressing room." Mia jogged off with the letter.
"She's never with me anymore..."
