"She's here" a deep voice only recognized as Tall And Sexy or well Valo as Daniel calls him. Valo gave me a slight glare before turning towards Dani "Nerya is here she want to see us, all of us" the ending was directed more towards me, most likely given the fact that I don't want to do this. Valo turned away and began walking expecting us to follow which we did. Dani had his arm slung over my shoulder in a comforting manor.
"Who's Nerya, and why does she want me there for?" I asked looking up at Dani.
"She's the mermaid queen and given she's a creature of the moon I'm sure she would like to meet her own queen to discuss certain matters, regarding all creatures in this realm" he said not looking me in the eyes but looking farther ahead of us with a clenched jaw.
"What's the rest of the reason or these matters that need to be discussed, tell me Daniel" I said in a demanding tone refusing to let him only give what he did.
"We can't talk about it here just wait until we get into the council hall and everything will be discussed there and you'll be able to understand more" he simply said as we turned into the castle this part had a longer hall than the ones I was running threw before.
The hall had portraits lining the walls with small plaques at the bottom of each portrait. One portrait stood out the most to me it was a portrait of a women with long black hair that reached her knees in a half up half down style, her skin was pale but not as pale as the man sitting next to her. The mans hair was even darker than the women's and his skin even more pale almost white enough to brighten the portrait. The man was staring down at the women with his bright golden eyes and she was staring up at him with her bright green ones. They seemed to send off a loving vibe like they're so madly in love it shines threw the portrait for all to feel. Yet everything around them seemed dark but they shined bight enough together to not let the darkness affect them in any way.
I reached my hand towards the portrait feeling the power and strength growing stronger as the darkness starts to engulf the women and the man in the painting. Feeling the power rush threw my veins as my finger almost grazed the painting. The power is calling me I can feel it. So close and I can obtain all that power, so close I can feel-
I got cut off by my thoughts when someone pulled me away from the portraits. turning around I swung my arm out with no control to strike the person who'd stopped me from that feeling of power. It was Valo he looked out of breathe.
"Daniel how did it get pat the barrier?!" he yelled at Dani in frustration pulling at his hair "You need not to touch that again don't touch the darkness again, dammit that shit hurts" he said to me before lifting his shirt showing a dark streak slashed from the v-line to the side of his abs.
"What did I do, all I was doing was looking at the painting and I didn't do that to you!" I yelled back pointing to the painting then him.
"Yes you did you were going into the darkness I watched it almost consume you, I can't let you fall into it we need your help" he snapped back "You did do this to me I had to suck the damn darkness out of you"
"You sucked what out of me, what the hell are you talking about?" I asked crossing my arms.
"You have much to re-learn Luna" a women's voice said from behind me. I turned around to see a cocoa dark skinned women with big natural curly dark hair. She smiled at me and waved me over, a sense of deja vu swept over me and I wasn't sure if it was a good or bad feeling yet but I had a feeling I've met her before.
"Are you Nerya?" I asked taking in her attire. She really dressed like a mermaid queen and her skin had a golden tint to it, she wore a golden bra with golden chains hanging don from it reaching her pierced belly button and for bottoms she had on a scarf like skirt, with no shoes.
"Yes your majesty" She said slightly bowing her head with a smile "I am Nerya, Queen of the mermaids"
"Have I met you before?" I asked and she gave me a slight smile before motioning for us to come in the only room in this hall "I swear I've met you before"
"We used to be best friends before everything happened, I wish you could remember" she said shaking her head "We need to get down to business, Luna the darkness is coming for you any day now and if you aren't crowned Moon Queen to the moon on the day of the eclipse exactly three months from now it will consume you and you will destroy everything and anyone you come across with no mercy"
"Well damn first I'm told I'm a Moon Princess and my parents were a king and queen then I'm told some darkness shit is coming for me" I said waving my hands in the air in frustration "Fine then ill just become Queen on that day easy"
"It's not that easy, you see Marlin isn't going to allow you to take the thrown from him that easily he's built a army who's broken the bond of moon and subject so they are no longer loyal to you and some have even broken the bond of sun and subject so they are no longer loyal to Valo" Nerya said as they all hanged they're heads as if in shame. They respect and feel for they're people its truly sad being betrayed. "Some go in fear, some because he holds leverage and others may just believe he is a good king to them."
"We have to stop him?" I asked. I don't have a army and if Valo had a good enough army I'm sure he would have done it himself so what am I here for?
"Yes we need you, most creatures of the night are too scared to help Valo but with a moon queen to lead them and help them fight everything will fall into place" Nerya said placing a hand on my shoulder.
I looked over to Dani he was looking me right in the eyes "I can do this, right?" I said in a low whisper.
"You can do this Luna" he said nodding his head with all confidents in me

A/N
I want to make this clear bc I feel like it might be a bit confusing Luna is The Moon Queen to her people but the princess to the moon. Valo is Sun King to his people but the prince to the sun. When they are both crowned they become Sun King to the sun and Moon Queen to the moon. Neither of them can become Sun King or Moon Queen if the other is unable to.
