The repetitive blare of the alarm clock shook Tobi from her restless sleep. She blindly reached over trying to find her glasses before slamming her palm against the annoying beeping thing, resulting in it clanging to the floor, but not quieting it. Finding her glasses under an open book, Tobi got up and turned off her alarm clock, glancing at the numbers.

5:30 in the morning.

"Why does anyone even want to wake up this early?" She grumbled to herself, sauntering over to the closet to retrieve the clothing she set out the night before. Black ripped skinny jeans, black combat boots, a white Fall Out Boy shirt, and a maroon leather jacket.

I may be the new girl at Greenfield High, but I'll show them I'm not someone to mess with.

Bounding down the stairs, Tobi took time to put on her usual array of dark makeup and deep red lipstick. Snatching a blueberry bagel from the fridge, she began her mile walk to school. Cars slowed down to stare at her. There were never really any new people in Greenfield, Wisconsin.

Reaching the giant front doors of the high school, Tobi collected a deep breath, then shoved her way into the hell hole.

Crappy cafeteria food, sweaty gym lockers, the overpowering stench of  B.O., and  slutty girls looking for a quick fuck. Looks like a typical high school.

Shoving her way through the mass of students, Tobi found her way to her house office to pick up her schedule. She quickly took in her surroundings. Faded blue walls with chips in the paint, rickety desks lined up against the wall, a desk topped with an endless supply of papers, two windows that don't even let in light because of how much grime covered them, and an older lady with frizzy white hair typing away at an out of date computer. Everything about the school seemed run down and old. Nothing like the high end, pristine technology they had back in Texas.

"May I help you?" The old lady at the desk asked, shaking me out of my thoughts.

"Uh.. yea. My name is Tobi McAllistair and I was sent here to pick up my schedule. I'm a junior and I moved into town yesterday," Tobi replied in a cool, confident voice.

"Ah yes, we've heard about you. Here you go," She said, handing me a yellowed piece of paper. 8 classes, and one off period.

Great, this is just great. Tobi thought, stepping back into the sea of students clustered in the cafeteria. Picking a spot near the back of the room, Tobi went over her schedule and looked at the small map she was given, picking out the fastest routes through the back halls. Reaching into her brown leather backpack, she fumbled around and pulled out a small, black journal that was layered with quotes in sharpie. She was about to pull out her pen when someone stumbled into her, making her drop her bag, spilling the contents all over the floor. Feeling slightly irritated that someone just walked right into her, Tobi angrily stuffed her things back into her backpack.

"Hay watch where you're..." she cut off mid sentence as she glanced up into the greenest eyes she's ever seen. Her eyes traveled down to the stranger's nose; a little ski slope that turned up at the end, and then to the plump pink lips that were moving as if the person was talking...

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry I just wanted to say hi and then I tripped over my own feet oh I'm so clumsy," the person said in a rush, a warm blush riding up their cheeks. A soft, delicate hand stretched out. "My name is Saraa. I'm assuming you're Tobi?" she stuttered out, still looking shaken from her encounter.

"Yea, yea that's me," Tobi whispered, enticed by this shy, beautiful girl.

Wait. Beautiful? I just called a girl beautiful?

Shaking herself out of the daze she was captivated in, Tobi cleared her throat and asked what classes Saraa had. She read over her schedule and saw that they had third period and off period together. She felt a little spark deep inside her at the though that she would get to see Saraa again.

What is wrong with me? I have a boyfriend back at home remember? Sebastian. Keep your mind on Sebastian.

"Well I guess I'll see you later then," Saraa waved, bounding off to be with her friends.

"Bye," Tobi whispered to herself, staring at the retreating form of a girl with long blonde hair and overly green eyes.
