June 21: Absaroka Lodge, Montana
On our way to Yellowstone National Park, we drove through Idaho. We passed by the Snake River, in Idaho, and made it Yellowstone (Quick Fun Fact: Yellowstone National Park is in two states, Montana and Wyoming). When we enter Yellowstone we passed by the Madison River. We made a few stops within Yellowstone and saw lots of animals, including bison, deer, and native birds.
As we made our way to the quaint town of Gardiner, Montana, we drove over the Yellowstone River. From the bridge we could see the snowy mountains, as though they were just a walks' distance. As night drew closer we closed in on a hotel room, that we stayed in for about 3 days [this will be explained in the next chapter]. We decide on dinner and ended up choosing burgers. Let's just say the burger was bigger than the McDonald's "M" sign.
Going to Montana was a great experience and got better over the next few days.
