"Olivia! Come on honey it's time to open your sister's presents!" Mom says from the bottom of the staircase.
I come downstairs sitting on the sofa while waiting for the rest of the family members to join around the living room. I laughed at my little sister because she was bouncing up and down impatiently waiting for people to sit. She's turning sixteen and could not be anymore of a fan of Ruby Rose if she tried. So, me being the best sister in the world, decided to make her dreams of meeting Ruby come true.
"Hey Brylee don't open my present yet. Save mine for last" I smiled at her and gave her a wink as she sat there looking at me hesitantly. She has no idea whatsoever.
After an hour of opening presents, mom and dad gave her a makeup kit, grandma and grandpa gave her an Apple iTunes gift card, our aunts and uncles gave her multiple clothes and finally, it was my turn to give her my gift.
"Now before you open this, I want you to savor this moment. Think of all the future fights we'll have and then think back to this birthday present, and don't ever doubt if I love you ever again... Cause trust me, there's a lot of love poured into this gift." Finally after my rant, I let her tear into her gift.
The only way I can describe her face was priceless. Her hands started shaking and she got teary eyed and she slowly looked back up and dive bombed right into me.
"I love you! I love you! I love you! Oh my god! We're going to go see my idol... in person!"
"Wait, did you look further in the bag? There's more" I said giving her a smile.
She was practically hyperventilating when she saw what it was.
Everything was going perfect until she fainted... Which I wasn't planning on.
"Uh.. Brylee? You okay?" I poked her a few times before propping her on the sofa. It took a few minutes before she opened her eyes back up, but when she did, she let out an ear piercing scream as everyone in the room covered their ears.
"AHHHHH! I'M GOING TO MEET RUBY ROSE!!!" She said, jumping up and down on the couch.
Anddd hands down, best birthday present of the year award goes to yours truly. My cockiness was at level ten.
