[ summary ]

so, how was the book guys?! i tried to make it as unique as possible and it was my first try at mystery/thriller with angst so.. i'm not sure if i succeeded lmao! this book was confusing for me at first but i finally thought this was a good ending (: i know it seems like i rushed it but if you read it carefully and think it about it thoroughly you'll understand what the fuck was going on

for those who don't want to read the trashy book all over again, i'll put the summary for you guys!

{ summary }

this book was based off of the original classic, jekyll and hyde. now you guys know that jekyll and hyde were the same people but had different personalities. well, this was exactly the same for yoongi as well. however, just like how dr. jekyll got sick of being in the perfect world where he had to follow the rules, he decided to create a liquid that would change him, alter his personality. in my story however, yoongi had a personality disorder where he has more than one personality and it switches rapidly. this didn't happen when he was a child but it slowly started to appear once he saw the accident with jungkook's mom.

now, yoongi started to experience more and more times of waking up unconscious in random places because of his disorder and one of those places was where he saw jungkook aka. the time when they were stargazing. jungkook and min yoongi were dating before, they started dating during their high school years. but jungkook accidentally spotted min yoongi on the ground "sleeping" and woke him up. min yoongi braced himself because it was getting stronger and he didn't want to tell jungkook because he was indeed scared since then it would have to lead to the accident. when jungkook says that they'll always be with each other, yoongi hesitates to agree and this is where the description came from. yoongi knows he doesn't have enough time to be with jungkook and wanted to enjoy the moment.

after he and jungkook parted, yoongi realized that he started to lose control of his body and wrote the last page of the notebook which were the chapter titles. he never got to send it personally but at the end where the hyde of yoongi throws it at jungkook. jungkook reads it but it was already too late at that moment.

pausing for a moment, i'll explain on the deaths as well. so for hoseok, yoongi's hyde thought that he was getting too close with the answer and was worried that he would spill it to jungkook so once receiving the information from namjoon and jungkook left the house, he snuck up on hoseok. 

for seokjin, he was basically getting in the way. yoongi's hyde was originally planning to kill park jimin because he knew that he would tell jungkook the truth but like the big brother seokjin was, he gave up his own life. a heroic death.

finally! the part everyone was waiting for! the abandoned airport scenes:

namjoon, who was the supporter of yoongi's hyde eventually realized that yoongi was gone and that he was tricked. it was too late thus having him held hostage and trapped inside.

taehyung and jungkook arrive and this is where the showdown happens yada yada yada.

meanwhile, where is the real min yoongi? he's at gate 22 also known as the brain. yeah everyone thought it was hell or the pit of the anus but indeed it was the brain! the brain is where everything happened to be honest. yoongi was stuck in his brain also known as his mind but unfortunately, after he received his memories, he panicked and lost. the cracks were the nerves that were slowly snapping off of yoongi's jekyll side and he was clinging on for the power. but, jungkook who yoongi imagined appearing because he was in the brain, betrayed him and threw him off. this was not the real jungkook, this was the made up jungkook that yoongi was desperate to make and meet. yoongi's only hope was jungkook and after hearing that jungkook died, he couldn't handle the shock and tried to comfort him by unconsciously creating a holograph of jungkook.

so for jungkook, yes he did die. but he never met the real yoongi and never got to be the hero of the book therefore connecting to the story's main track. same as yoongi, he didn't get to save jungkook and regrets that he didn't do more while the two were both alive and well.

taehyung, namjoon were in the end loyal to the hero and stood up proudly by fighting after jungkook died but yoongi's hyde killed them both. jimin managed to wake up and escaped during that fight, frightened by the scene. jimin represents the messenger at this point.

in the end, only yoongi's hyde remains and jekyll is completely gone just like in the book jekyll and hyde. he's looking for park jimin, the last one to remain on the hero team and they discover that because of this trauma and his injury, he'll be very weak to persuade and turn.
