Sunshine and Nolan

School was finally over.I packed my books into my bag and walked out to the main entrance of the school. Standing at the gate of the school was Nolan . He was wearing his granddads leather jacket as usual and a pair of rugged jeans . He spun around as if he could sense my presence. "Oh hey sunshine !" Nolan said as he stroked his fingers through his hair . That always drove me crazy . He had a cheeky grin on his face as usual .

We have been best friends since I moved here with my mother . Nolan is the only other person beside my mum Kat and uncle Tommy who know about my powers . He helped me find out what I really was . He helped me understand what a luiseach was and what I am capable of doing . Since I turned 16 my world changed . I'm not exactly human . My mother and father were powerful luiseachs and they gave me up to protect me . Now I live with Kat who adopted me .

"Hey Nolan how was your day ?" I reply . He looked so cute just standing there his eyes twinkled in the sunlight . I always feel giddy around Nolan . He makes my heart beat faster and whenever I am around him I feel warmer . Suddenly I felt a bit dizzy . "sunshine , sunshine.. are you ok ? " I felt so cold and then I turned really hot . My vision started to blur a bit then I hit the ground .

I felt Nolan's arms as he scooped me up off the ground . I flinch at his touch . When he touches me a shiver goes down my spine . I blank out again .
