'Affinity'

School Time!!

Year 1985
'I want black block' replied Anna to their teacher who was distributing all the 5 yr old students their fav coloured alphabets. Mrs Hale looked over the students and was glad that they all had their blocks and were assembling it in alphabetical order. She started doing her paperwork for upper classes while keeping a watch.
Dudley was usually with Anna who followed her where ever she would go. If Harry tried to approach her, he would either distract her or push him. Anna wasn't fond of Dudley but didn't hate him either. She won't understand why he behaved properly with her and not to others. After 2 years of their friendship, she came to know that Dursley's didn't like Harry for some reason not known to her. She liked the company of Harry over Dudley and would often play in the park with Harry when Dudley was off to his other friends, which again she wasn't fond of.

The sunset reminded Anna that she should be home. She and Harry were playing in the nearby park since afternoon. There they played on the swings, slides and a small puppy which belonged to an old lady.
' I want to play more' Anna whined.
' Me too but aunt won't like it. We'll come tommorow again.' assured Harry to her.
'Ok but promise that you'll be with me for longer time tommorow'
' I'll always be with you, forever'
This simple yet meaningful statement pleased Anna. She bounced with happiness and kissed his cheek.
'Thank you' replied Anna shyly. Although she couldn't get the exact meaning of his words but still she was happy, as she knew that he will always play with her and forever meant that any time she wanted.
They now began to walk outside the park, hands entwined and big smiles on their faces.
