We've been in the hospital for almost 30 minutes and those silly doctors haven't said a thing.

I was getting frustrated.

Ray was panting and walking up and down.

He kept on screaming God's name, and saying things that I didn't bother to listen to..

I can't lose Abena.

No!!!

I can't leave without her.

Then I remembered what she said before hanging up.

"Make sure you come this evening before I serve my purpose".

"No!! No!!!...let it not be!!! Argghh!!!!"😢😢

"What is it??" Ray asked me scared.

"Abena..."

"What???!!!, you're freaking me out!!!"

"She said...."

The sight of the doctor cut my words short as we ran to him panting.

He had a gloomy look.

"Do we need to beg you to talk" Ray said😕😕

"I'm sorry. She didn't make it... She...."

"We both screamed in pain"

😭😭😭😭

This can't be happening.

"Why didn't you guys keep her alive!!! What's the stupid use of this hospital!!!!!" Ray shouted.

"She was brought in late, there's nothing we could do..we tried our best".

"You all are the dead ones!!!! My Abena is not dead you hear me!!!" He said storming out of the hospital.

"Can I see her?"😪😪😪

"Sure"

I went into the room and they had covered her.

I couldn't stop the tears from flowing.

I took the cloth of her and cried on her.

Abena whyyyy!!!

Why did you have to leave me?

Of all places to die.. You chose your bathroom???

You didn't say goodbye!!!

You just left😭😭😭

I stared at her lifeless body. I couldn't believe my eyes.

Someone that I was just talking to few hours ago.

I saw her lips dried and faint.

I won't get to see those lips moving. No words,, no laugh😭😭

God why???

Just after she gave her life to you, you decided to take it out of her😭😭😭

The doctor came in with her aunt and the family.

I called them right after we brought Abena to the hospital.

I knew they were not really on good terms but they cried genuinely.

I was about to leave the hospital when I saw Ray come in with A man.

And he was still in tears.

I followed them to where Abena was.

Then he screamed.

"You said she had a purpose in life... Now pray to God and bring her back!!!"

The man smiled.

"Her purpose has already been served"

Ray laughed in a sarcastic manner.

"Does she look like Jesus Christ to you? So, her purpose is to die... Die for who?"

"Her story is a reminder to people out there. She's been blessed dear. If she hadn't given her life to Christ, she would have died a sinner. She was as stubborn as Paul in the bible. But God still interceded for her and she changed at once. I'm sure she's with him up there".

"Up there?? She should be here with us!!!! Why aren't you dead yet? Why her?"

"It's all the lords doing. He knows best and we can't question him".

"What about me. Why didn't he take me too?"

"It's not yet your time. You are to tell the world her story. And do your best to follow Christ footsteps so that you can meet her up there too. I'm sure she's happy where ever she is. She wanted eternal happiness and she got it"

"I can't keep on living".

"She's still in your heart right? So she's still in you. So just go out there and find other lost souls. God used you to bring her to Church that day. Make yourself available to others to. No one knows when they're going to die".

I approached Ray and tapped him.

"Thank you"

"For what?"

"For being the vessel God used to help Abena".

"What's the use? She's gone"😑😑

"She knew she was going. She told me to make sure that I come today before she serves her purpose"

"Hmm"😪😪😪😪😪😪.

"Listen to the prophet. It hurts me too, but God knows best. I'll help you to help others. Maybe that's my purpose too. Winning souls for Christ and I'll want to meet Jesus and Abena up there. So I guess I'll follow Christ in his footsteps. I also want eternal happiness. I don't know when I'll die. So now is the time for me to change as well" I said forcing a smile.

"I guess my work here is done. Abena's story just changed a life right now. Make sure it changes others. God bless you both"

He said stepping out.
