Clary let out a blood chilling scream. She instantly sat up, panting hard and looking around the guest room at the institute. Her door opened and Jace scrambled in hurriedly, clutching the Herondale knife in his hand. She sighed in relief. He wasn't dead. It was just a dream.

"Clary?" he asked. He moved towards her lowering the blade. "What happened? Are you hurt?"

She shook her head and reached out for him. Pulling his body towards her. He held her form tightly against his. He rubbed her back, soothingly. She shook violently as tears began to flow from her eyes. Jace sighed and rocked her against him. "Shhh.." he wispered comforably. He was told you're suppose to say things like: 'Everythings alright' or 'It's okay' But it mat not be and why would Jace want to lie to the beautiful angel lying in his arms.

Clary looked up at him with those amazing light green eyes and her lip trembled as she began to speak. "I-I-i.. y-you were d-d-dea-" He pulled her back against him as she began to sob again. After she settled down again she took a deep calming breath.

"What hapened darling?" Jace whispered. It seemed inapropriate, to ruin the nice quiet with speaking in any tone that was above a hushed breath of a whisper.  She looked up at him again and he melted. Just like that she had his stomach flowing with heat and anxious little nerves. How was this possible? All she had done was shine those beautiful shinning eyes that so closley resembled soft green fareie lights.

This time her voice did not waver. She didn't stutter. "I had a nightmare." she stated simply. "A terrible, awful nightmare." She laid back against the bed. Jace followed suit, laying next to her. He was suddenly reminded of Idris. Where they had lain so far apart yet so closley together.Jace traced light patterns over her arms, tracing only the few Marks she had.

"What happened, dearest?" he asked, brushing his fingers over he slant cheekbones. He felt triumphet when she shivered at his touch. He also found she was soothed when he called her sweet names.

"Sebastian killed you." She said, her voice filled with sudden anger. "You fell dead. Right in front of me." she whispeared. Her voice was outraged. He leaned over and kissed the corner of her mouth lightly. He wanted to kiss her full on the mouth but thought now was not the time to do so. He tried to imagine Clary dying at the hands of her demon brother, tight in front of his eyes. He felt very sick.

He smirked at her. "Aww, you're worried about me." he teased. He felt a light smack on his shoulder and hissed. She was really getting better at that. Maybe he should stop training her so much. None the less he shot her a smile and chuckled. She glared at him. "Hey, I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere."

She smiled softly at him. "Jace?"

"Yes Clary?"

"Stay with me?" she asked cuddling up to him. SHe nuzzled her head against his chest and made a content sound.

He smiled at her and rested his chin on her red head. "Always."
