BETRAYAL

I looked at my parents talking in low tones. They seemed to be arguing about something. I looked over at my elder siblings talking like nothing happened.

I saw Aiden my elder brother look at me but he turned to his twin to continue what he was saying before I could even ask him what was going on.

Everybody blocked my link. I couldn't tell if it was intentional or not but I sure knew they were all hiding something from me except of course my little brother ash. I watched him as he slept and he looked so innocent.

I tried mind linking my parents to know what they were discussing about but it was like they didn't want me in on whatever they were saying. As soon as I was sure Ash had slept in the tent I went to confront my family.

Ok I know how come the tent.
Well, where else can you sleep when you've been running away from your pack alpha for the past two days for an entire reason which is known to everybody except you?.

I stood in front of all of them lucky for me they were all sitting on a dry wood

''okay guys would somebody tell me why the hell we've been running away for the past two days and don't you dare tell me it's nothing because I'm sick and tired of this whole family bullshit about keeping things from me so would somebody please tell me what the fuck is going on"

I heard my father growl. That was the first time I've ever sworn and I couldn't believe I did

"Young lady......" I could tell my father was angry at my tone he was about to complete his statement when my mum stopped him and held him back "Derek"

I was frustrated so I sat down on an opposite log of wood. After some moments of silence my brother, Brendan finally spoke up

"Allyssa we probably should have told you this a long time ago" I nodded at him to continue "you see we are no ordinary wolves, we're a breed of one of the special wolves to ever exist"

I looked at him like he was crazy "duh we belong to one of the strongest packs ruled by one of the strongest alpha's" he huffed like I was talking out of point then

I heard my sister's voice "Brendan let me explain you see we were originally a special breed of wolves with special powers but we had to try to merge with other normal wolves after we were attacked by some dark powered wolves" I was still confused until I saw my sister Andrean, create a fireball with her hands.

Then I saw Aiden controlling the wind I could see the wind whirling "Mom's own is shield while Dad's own is water, and most people have more than one power and some have too much that they can't control only with help and some could result to dark magic depends, apparently there is no water around here although their powers are becoming faded since their old and ours are not much strong since we've not fully activated it"

I looked at them the feeling of betrayal evident in my voice "How long as this being on?" I asked my mum

"it's been a year since Aiden and Andrean got their powers yours might come up in probably 4-5 years time" I couldn't contain my anger so my parents have been lying to me my whole life or we've been pretending to be something we were not.

Still that does not relate to why we're running away "so, why exactly are we running away?" I asked my dad

"Allyssa, we've been discovered and that means trouble. We're yet to know who knows but I could tell you alpha's will stop at nothing to make us forcefully mate with them or join their packs because of the powers that come with it"

"so we're running away from something we don't know?"

"not really because other wolves knowing about us could attract unwanted attention from the dark ones" right now I was too exhausted to take anymore stories "you should get some sleep" my mother must have read my mind. I nodded before entering Ash's tent to lay beside him I didn't realize when I slept off

Growl. That was what woke me up. I came out to see my family surrounded by some wolves. But that growl my brother only growled like that when he was emotionally pained . I looked to see the source and I couldn't help but let out a growl to. Standing with the wolves was my pack alpha Darren I heard the bitterness in my brother's voice as he spoke

"how could you?, I thought we were friends" I heard his sly laughter

"but if I didn't do that how else would I have gotten the information I wanted?" he growled and I saw a wicked side of him I never thought I would see

"Hand the girls over"

"Never" I heard my mother's stern voice. I looked at the guy I would call my brother

"why? Why would YOU do this"

"sorry princess but how else would I raise the most powerful pack" he placed his hand on my face and caressed it and then all hell let loose

"get your filthy hands off my sister!'' and like that the fight started I tried to fight but my brother told me to run so I hid behind a tree and watched as they fought. Then it happened I heard an howl someone from my family had died.

I didn't care to know who it was as long as it was my family. I didn't realize my claws and canine had become longer and sharpened until I had killed Darren. Shit I just killed. By now every other wolf had being killed and I couldn't stop the tears that flowed when I saw my father, brother, sister, and my mother's lifeless body before me

"Allyssa" I heard my mother's weak voice as she called me. I ran to her and placed her head on my lap

"mum, I'm here"

"oh Allyssa, I love you soo much, please stay alive for me and take care" I was about to tell her it was going to be okay when I heard her breathe in her last breathe . I cried till God knows when. I was about to run anywhere. I've just lost everything that ever mattered to me. I was about to run anywhere when I heard his voice

"Allyssa!" I turned to look at my little 8 year old. I ran to hug him. I had totally forgotten about him

"Allyssa mamma and everyone is gone". I nodded and I felt him hug me tightly "I'm scared"

I pulled back and stared into his grey eyes, my mum's grey eyes "don't be I'm here"
