I sat on a concrete curb in the old empty, and eroded parking lot, the one just in front of the forest. I sighed, stupid rake had to put the whole town into shut down. I shoved the binoculars into my hoodies pocket. I usually watch over her at night in the strip of trees in front of her street. But since everyone was on high alert and most likely watching out their windows and cameras, I would've definitely been spotted. So now I'm here...back in front of the old forest parking lot. I held my head in my hands. Even though I'm not the best thing to roam this earth, I still felt like I needed to protect her. Pure souls are extremely rare to find...and those are the most targeted by the monsters. They claim that when a boss turns a pure soul, like (Y/n) they tend to be more powerful. I stood up. I managed to see her a few times today. She was with her friend who's name is Toby. I was scared he was going to hurt her, because his soul is very dark. He might turn soon...and who knows what he'll do.

What do I do? I have to warn her... I will tomorrow if I see her...wait should I write a note and put it in her mailbox? No... I'll figure something out. I'll protect you, (Y/n). Don't worry....

     The sun soon started to peek above the horizon. I froze when I saw a car pass, but realized it was (Y/n)'s parents, I wander were they're going. I pulled my hood over my disheveled hair, pivoted on my heels and sauntered back into the woods.
