Rough day

Aaron laid on the bottom of his shower for God knows how long. With the faucet turned all the way hot, he had gotten in with hopes that the steamy water would help him relax. He'd had the worst day of his life, and he felt as if nothing could ever bring him back to normal. He'd taken the heat for so many things that didn't concern him on stage, like the director yelling instructions at everyone but him, which made him repeat the routine a million times. He had spilt coffee in his car on the way to practice, and he was soaked to the bone by the most random rain storm while picking up milk on his way home. As he laid with the water streaming over him, he dreaded having to tell his wife how he still had not been paid. Aaron booked the part of Enjolras in Les Miserables earlier that year, but because the movie had yet to hit the box office, he was not being paid. Their rent was due and if he didn't receive enough money soon, they'd be in trouble.

He heard footsteps coming down the hall which broke him from his train of thought. It should be about four thirty, just about the time his wife got home from work. Her heels clicked down the hall as she walked. The shadow of her feet stopped in front of the bathroom door. The knuckle of her index finger knocked on the door twice. Aaron knew she'd come in if he didn't reply, so he waited, staring down at the granite inches from his face.

The door opened a little, with her pretty blue eye looking through crack. She saw him laying on his stomach with his head against his arms crossed in front of him, looking more zoned out than ever before. He turned his head slightly towards the entry. Her gaze met Aaron's and her expression lightened. She parted the door more, and stepped into the bathroom. Aaron was pleased when he saw what she was wearing, his favorite black dress with peach colored flowers all over. She stepped to her right and sat down on the closed toilet lid, looking down at her naked husband. Even when her and Aaron were just dating, they'd always had an emotional connection. They both knew how the other one felt, even of no words were spoken.

"What's wrong, babe?" She asked him sweetly through the glass of their shower. He sort of shrugged and looked down.

"Bad day..." he began. He sighed and looked from the granite up to his wife. He held out his arm to her, gesturing silently for her to join him. Her expression softened as she stood up. She removed one heel at a time, brought her hands up to her hair and removed her ponytail, releasing her brown curls that fell beautifully around her face and over her chest and back. She reached behind and pulled down the zipper of her dress and removed it. She looked back at her husband's face for assurance, but the tenseness of his muscles and his clenched jaw were enough to encourage her. She removed her bra, and she pulled away her underwear. Aaron's eyes were big, but intent. She stepped towards the glass of their shower and opened the door.

Steam escaped the chamber and flushed her skin as she stepped in. Aaron rolled onto his back, sat up slightly, grabbed her hand, and pulled her gently down to him on the floor. He let go of her hand and placed his hands on her shoulders as he kissed her. It was a kiss that said, please help me feel better. He laid back down on his side facing away from her, and she laid beside him, spooning his backside and rubbing her hand across his back. A refreshingly hot water poured down on both of them. She felt him relax more under her touch. Her hands travelled from his shoulders, to his spine, then around to his abs and traced his v-line.

"Katherine...." He slightly moaned through his teeth. He turned and looked her in the eyes. Her hand touched his cheek and he closed in for a kiss. Her hands laced into his perfect light brown hair, as his chest pushed against hers. Aaron forgot all about money and stress. All he could think about was her. She was so beautiful and understanding, and she didn't hound him with questions. He knew she'd only encourage him more to make it big, like he planned on. His agent had earlier informed him of another audition for a role as an FBI agent in a tv series called, Graceland. He was so beat down at the time he hadn't given it much though, but now he realized how much he needed to get work. His entire world, Kate, depended on it.
